Hi Everybody, this is my first post, so please bear with me (roar!) if things go a bit awry.

I've recentley built an L.R. Ares for apocalypse (using the redeemer kit), with statues on the front (see pics). The problem I'm having is that i would like to put a framework border around the statues and plasticard extra armour with a similar border.
So, does anyone know of any good tutorials that could help me/ pics of their own models that may help to inspire me?

Cheers, DaPheel.

As everyone else says awesome model, I've been inspired to make an Ares after spotting it on a gw article, just need a pile of spare cash to put it together now! I'd love to know where you got the statues from too.

P.S looking forward to seeing more as the ares is finalised and painted.

Statues if im not mistaken are from the Fantasy buildings set... Just put together a nice little chapel and have plenty of those guys left over...

If I'm not mistaken you can find a torrent out there that is a template for making extra armor from plasticard for the LR but I can't remember where I saw it.

Try a search for “land raider extra armor torrent” or some version of that and see if it comes up.

As for the LR, looks awesome! Nice conversion.

Nice work, Statues really add to the models.

I would even suggest getting some tac and dryfitting it first... BTW everything looks great so far, nice use of the WHFB building bits

Very nice work on the Raider, I would love to see the finished product. How/what do you picture you border looking like? I can think of a couple of ways to make a border but they invole different tehniques and I'm not sure what look you are going for.
