Hey all,

Not long ago I was surfing the web and came across a web shop selling silicon press molds for Salamander/dragon/lizard skin tabards/capes. Foolishly, I didn't bookmark it and now I can't find it again.

Does anyone know where I might have seen it? My Salamander Sternguard need their Drake cloaks and I don't want to shell out for a box of DE Corsairs. Any help locating it would be greatly appreciated. I promise to post finish results - if I can find them!

Thanks.

check out a Polish company called Spellcrow, they make a lot of conversion parts for salamanders which are really heavy in detail

Here's a link to the spellcrow tabards Brokentoad mentioned: http://www.spellcrow.com/salamanders-dragons-tabards-p-165.html
Maximini also have these: http://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/equipment-and-accessories/drake-cloak-bits

Thanks guys. The Spellcrow tabards are nice. They would work if they must, but I'm still hoping to find those molds. That way I can drape them over shoulders, put them on the Dreads in different ways. Stuff like that.

Let's see if anyone else has seen them.

if you want to make molds of the spellcrow ones, just grab some instant mold (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wargames-Modelling-BNIB-Mould-it-in-an-Instant-Plastic-Clay-/350858398918?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item51b0ca4cc6).
pop it in warm water and then press mold the piece, wait a minute to cure then press mold your own greenstuff pressings :)

or buy polymorph balls off ebay, exactly the same thing as instamould and about a third of the price :)

its exactly the same stuff, instamould just form it into a block and charge you stupid money for the privilage, because polymorph comes in BB sized balls its means you can also use a precise amount and make moulds as big or as small as you want, its fully reuseable

thats pretty cool..... can you pour it from a crucible/pot into a silicone mold?.......... not that i condone casting any major companies parts of course...... :)

may be cheaper than 2 part resin :)

i doubt it dude, it just gets really soft not runny unfortunately, i imagine you could heat it up and press it into a mould to cast a part but not pour it, 2 part casting resin will always be better for that, plenty of that stuff on ebay quite cheap also though if you look about :)

I have seen fur molds. Obviously not what you're looking for, but might get you pointed in the right direction:

This site has loads of modelling stuff, too:

Here is the closest thing I can recall that fits your description. Perhaps this will serve you well enough if it is not what you had seen before.
