Imperial Guard "Suicide" Army?

Hey guys so I played a game where I ran 5 veteran squads all with demolition charges (100 points per squad, 500 pts total)

Maybe I got lucky with only one scatter, or maybe this would be viable?

Basically I just run the squads in early and plant the demolition charges to kill large amounts of troops (Or even small amounts of lets say terminators, ap 2 is strong ^_^)

It also works well vs tanks... Its a lot of utility I find

I'd love some opinions and thoughts and maybe some experiences some have seen/heard with this type of army list?

I've seen this strategy work very well and very poor at times, but if you want to use it, may I suggest adding Marbo to your list? He's cheap (65 pts I think?), and with BS5 and his "appear anywhere" infiltrate, he's a much better candidate for getting the pie exactly where it needs to go.

That is a poor use of points and BS4. For the same points:

Platoon Command w/ 4 Meltas
- 10 Guardsmen w/ ML & Plasma
- 10 Guardsmen w/ ML & Plasma
- 6 Guardsmen w/ 3 MLs
- 6 Guardsmen w/ 3 DCs
- 6 Guardsmen w/ 3 DCs

510 points, and far more overall utility:
6 separate units
6 DCs
5 MLs
2 Plasma
4 Meltas

Sure, slightly fewer bodies (43 vs 50), but the extra firepower will make up for it.

Can also stand for Death Company when referred to Blood Angles.
