Hello.
I started this scratch build in july 2013 and was pretty lazy in the last few months. due to the lack of a job I started to work again on this project and I wanted to share my progress with you guys. I also started a blog on this topic on another site. But it seems that the general reception to warmachine stuff isn't that great so I thought I'll try it here. :)

I started by ordering styrene sheets, pipes and rods in different sizes and made some sketches of the legs.

After finishing the sketches I started cutting out and glueing the feet pieces together.

Luckily i got a rotatry tool for my birthday in july. This was a great addition to my tool collection and made a lot of things easier.

Because of the picture restriction I have to split up my posts :-)

I started glueing the parts toghether and adding details to the feet.

Then i continued by adding the ankles and the first part of the calves.

In the picture above you see the finished calf sections and the parts for the upper legs.
I glued the upper leg pieces together and added the first part of the knees to the calves.

I cut out the marked areas on the upper legs and added worked on the front joint of the knees.

I bulked up the legs and added the knee caps.

I continued with adding pistons to the knees. These pistons represent the hamstring part of the legs.

Then i added the first armor plates to the upper legs.

After adding the front armor to the upper legs I built the middle armor plate.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/1/28/579189_sm-Conquest%2C%20Warmachine.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/579189-Conquest%2C%20Warmachine.html)
Then I added some pipes to the upper leg to give them more size and detail. I also added the middle armor to both legs.

This picture shows the upper legs with all of the armor plates added.

After that I combined the upper and the lower parts of the legs.

The last thing i did on the legs was adding some rivets. This was very anoying because of the small size of the rivets.

I also startet working on the hip section. I made a block out of styrene sheets and worked on it with my rotary tool to give it the desired look.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/1/31/580104_sm-hips1.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/580104-hips1.html)
Then I started adding armor plates to the basic shape of the hip and ended up with this.

I added the middle part and some details. Afterwards I cleaned up some gaps with green stuff.

That is pretty badass!

Thank you. I appreciate it :)

After finishing the hip section, I started with the torso and the shoulders.

For the torso I made a hollow prism and added the armor around the head/neck.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/1/28/579195_sm-Conquest%2C%20Warmachine.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/579195-Conquest%2C%20Warmachine.html)

Then I added some putty to create the base for the curved surface at the top of the torso.
This surface will be processed with my rotary tool to get the desired shape.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/2/7/582303_sm-torso2.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/582303-torso2.html)

For the shoulders, I started by building a box in the basic form of the shoulder.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/1/31/580103_sm-shoulder1.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/580103-shoulder1.html)

Then I added circles to the side which will be used to create the round bottom of the shoulders.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/2/7/582295_sm-shoulder2.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/582295-shoulder2.html)

I filled the space between the circles and added the plain back area of the shoulders.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/2/7/582305_sm-shoulder3.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/582305-shoulder3.html)

I also started to add some details in the form of cooling vents to the back side.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/2/7/582306_sm-shoulder4.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/582306-shoulder4.html)

The last thing I did was to create a skeleton for the upper part of the shoulders.
http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2014/2/7/582307_sm-shoulder5.JPG (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/582307-shoulder5.html)

That's my current progress. I'll try to finish this bad boy in the course of the next few weeks.
So stay tuned for more updates.
