Hey all,

Here for more advice - I always seem to get great advice here thanks :)

I am about to purchase some magnets to make my minis more flexible and try to play WYSIWYG with them. I have found a few on ebay but any recommendations would be awesome.

The thing I am less sure about is drilling for them. Should I purchase drill bits a bit smaller than the proposed hole size (for example a 1.8mm bit for a 2.0mm magnet)? Do I need a specific modelling drill bit? Any info or help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Wayne

Use the same size drill as magnet.

There are a couple of tutorials here which may be of some use:

In this one: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2012/01/conversion-corner-make-it-modular-with.html he mentions "Kicker". Whats that?

A kicker is a compound that accelerates the setting of the superglue. I wouldn't say it was essentail as long as you can keep your magnet steady.

Yeah, kicker is nice, but not essential. For a lot of the magnets, they're going to just sit in a pocket you've drilled out anyway.
