In the Chaos Deamons codex the dude name skulltaker has options to be upgraded with a Jug. for +35 or a chariot for +20
is this a mistake? cuz as far as I can see you gain more for the chariot, but its cheaper. Did I miss something?

If you give him the chariot, he loses the independent character special rule. With a juggernaunt, you can hide him in a squad.
