Incorrect Information on GW site

Jusy went onto the Games Workshop site. In the news section they are talking about the exhibitions at Warhammer World. They have shown a little picture of the 1989 Space Marines inTactical Dreadnought Armour. They say that if you click on the picture you will see a squad of these painted by the eavy metal team.
The first picture of the minis in the foam is indeed the 1989 release. The painted miniatures are the much, much later release, 1994 or something, and are infact the chapter specific deathwing terminators. This is Bobbins. Only a litle point, but it bugged me. I love the old 89 terminators and was looking forward to seeing some again. I ruined most of mine with bad painting.

I still have a box of those '89 Termies. I think I painted one, but the rest are still in that styrofoam tray in the original box. I bought them at Wargames West in Albuquerque NM in March of '99 - we were passing through on Spring Break.

I bought a box of the original lead Terminators when they were switching from lead to pewter around 1994. All the lead stuff went on sale. I bought a bunch of the metal Deatwing models too later on. Most of the models from the original lead set and all my Deathwing models went into my large Dark Angel army that I painted about 2 years ago. I have 7 Deathwing squads, 3 are the newest plastics, 4 are composed of lead and pewter models.
