Quoted from an independant source:
To go with forge world combining web pages with GW, they will release codexes containing their products with all rules, stats and fluff for each army for both 40k and fantasy. These will be similar to supplements with new rules and warlord traits. The prices are said to be similar to 40k hard back codices.
14/1/14
New gw website:
The new gw website will launch in march. The forgeworld, black library and gw sites will merge as one under the name of Games Workshop. How all books and fw products will be arranged is to be seen. whether all books and novels will be under each army they are about or under a black libary tab and FW products under each army or under a FW tab.

2-year old Dakka user, and the rumors range from conservative and safe (the army-codex lists), to fairly salty (the WFB 9th Ed ones over in the WFB section). Worth keeping in mind to check back on.

It would be nice to see Dark Eldar redone this year. Maybe with Ward writing it...

I want a story where Vect gets sucked into the warp and duels Draigo. Then they team up and fight their way back out of the warp. Imagine the rage it would cause.

I would love it if GW/Ward would troll the community like that.:)

I want a story where Matt Ward gets sucked into the warp period... ;)

Hopefully the new "Written by the Games Workshop Design Studio" line will stop all the author bashing and praising

I hope so too, it's really obnoxious. I mean they all do silly things sometimes, some are better with different things than others and this need the community has for whipping boys to punish for all the perceived ills in their books is really horrid.

Only 2 out of five projected future armies are Xenos...
Forgeworld books will be sweet, though. We'll see what they come up with. Hopefully something other than the five million pre-heresy Marine units they've been exclusively working on over the last few years.

Even better:
Marneus Calgar faces off with Vect. They duel, and Vect loses, and flees to the Webway, but then Fulgrim shows up and tries to claim his soul for Slaanesh. Vect beats him and carves his name into Fulgrim's daemonic heart, but gets dragged into the warp, where he runs into Draigo while Draigo is tearing down Slaanesh's gardens. They realize that in order to escape, they must defeat the champion of each of the Chaos Gods, so they team up to take down Khorne and Tzeentch's champions. Hilarity ensues.

You realize that only three of the eight remaining armies are Xenos, right? So two of five is fairly quick. (ok, it looks like one of five actually.)

I was having a long talk with a friend yesterday about GW's future and it was my opinion that whatever they do over the next 12 months will determine whether or not they survive. Possibly a bit extreme and I admit I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to marketing and business practice.
I have high hopes for GW. I don't agree with a lot of things they've done recently but I've been in this hobby (specifically GW) for over 20 years and I would very much like to see it go from strength to strength.
Going on these rumours, things are looking quite positive. It will be interesting to see if any of this comes to pass. Particularly as a large portion of our conversation revolved around Tyranids (his main army), the mighty Blood Angels :p and the lack of non-Imperial terrain.

Up above Wolfshade said there was 'too much Xenos love' on the schedule.

Ah, I had read his post on a different day, so I missed that context. Anyway, I for one am happy for the rate of release. It looks like we could finally have all armies using codexes from the same edition in under 3 years from 6E's release. I just hope they don't make a new edition for a while after that, leaving them room to explore other specialized armies via supplements. I want Corsairs and Exodites!

I wonder what they mean by 'fortifications for independent armies' ? Xenos? Or something else?

Aegis Lines and Bastions retooled with army-appropriate weapons, i.e. Bright Lances for Eldar, Dakkacannons for Orks, etc. is what I'm assuming.

I'd like to hope so :) and a bit more sort of well.... iconic, if you know what I mean.

*Applies some salt* I see nothing but Wish-listing and people stating their contempt and dislike for Ward, i wouldn't mind if the "Knight" robot thing came to pass but some of this just sounds to me like people want this or that, but no one knows at this present time [beside those who are working on this, also just because a few leaks have appeared here and there doesn't validate/invalidate this Rumor from being just that, something to tide us over until the release and half of us will whine that something was left out, this may seem pessimistic of me but it's the most realistic angle i can view it from] *applies some salt*

I actually like and buy into this rumour. It makes sence to me that GW would want to capitalise on the sucesses of the Black Library and Forge World by pulling them back under their umbrella. There is alot of community backlash towards GW but people praise and worship BL and FW, forgetting ofcourse that they are one and the same company.
Equally this will bring benefits to the customer base as it will mean that you can get combined shipping on all GW produces from one site, rather than having to make three separate orders and pay for three sets of P&P.
Roll on March!
