Working on a first trail list ran into this hidden gem.

Termagants

Any model may replace its fleshborer with one of the following;
Spinefist, Spike Rifle, or Devourer.

SO we can now run a mixed unit, 20 Fleshborer armed screening, the 10 armed with Devourers.

Food for thought.

You are correct, but this was one of the first things picked up on. With Spores gone, a consensus "good unit" is a big blob of gants with 10 Fleshborers, and the rest with Devourers.

I think the real gem was the bit in the background with Daemons vs Tyranids and they're both like "what the hell do I gain from this?"

This is the case with all broods now as far as I have seen. You no longer need to equip warriors/carnifexes/whatever with the same weapons, just with the same poison/adrenal.

Ya. I noticed this first thing. It was one of my issues with the last dex. Only if pods where still in.. *sigh*
