I’m deliriously pleased to announce that iToysoldiers (http://itoysoldiers.com) is ready for prime time! Over the last while I’ve been building a website for miniature war game addicts. iToysoldiers lets you track the results of your battles, show off pictures of your armies, and tells us your thoughts on the hobby in general. The best bit? iToysoldiers is system agnostic! Whether you play Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, X-Wing, or any other game we’ve got you covered. The even better bit? iToysoldiers is free. Yep! I’m never going to charge my gamer friends to use the site.
Chronicle the glories of your little toy soldiers
I’m a stats nerd. I love looking at how this compares to that, my DPS, my best results against certain opponents and computer games provide this kinda thing. I also (shamefully) admit that I adore getting achievements, badges, and tokens for various accomplishments. It’s a kinda Pavlov thing, I’m sure. Computer games provide this sort of feedback. Miniature war games, which are so much more fun, don’t. Why should computer gamers have all the stat laden goodness? Well. They’re not the only ones anymore. I built iToysoldiers to provide statistics and game tracking/battle reports for miniature war games. As I was building it I figured that the whole story telling element – important to most of us – could totally be addressed at the same time so…
Not only can you enter the results of your battles, but you can also post pictures, write up your thoughts on your army, rules, etc. Take a look at some of the galleries: http://itoysoldiers.com/galleries. Peruse the blogs: http://itoysoldiers.com/blog. Check out the battles: http://itoysoldiers.com/battles. And of course… Stats: http://itoysoldiers.com/stats.
iToysoldiers is a work of love. Love of miniatures and love of tabletop games. If you’ve got any ideas for improvements or changes or you just want to chatter I’m all ears at [email protected]. Take a look around the site. See what iToysoldiers has to offer. I am to please.
Why should computer gamers have all the stat laden goodness?

So there’s the pitch. Sound cool? I’d love for you to join us. All you have to do is zip over to http://itoysoldiers.com/user/register and sign up. Important: The site does require you to confirm your email and some providers are pretty draconian with their spam filter so make sure you add [email protected] to your safe senders list so you can get the confirmation email. If you sign up and don’t receive one, drop me a line and we’ll get you sorted.
Many thanks, my gamer friends. Hope to see you on the site.
Rob.
