So, decided that I should probably do a spiffy first post- the first of many units in this project

Welcome Spiraling Cadaver!
Very impressive and painterly. I really like the small aqua accent colors - they really pop to the eye.

Loving the use of turquoise!

Thanks, all!
Yeah, I felt like doing something a bit different than the regular colors, so I did the black trim, and I've been using the teal/aqua/whatever a lot in my Malifaux stuff and really liking it, so decided to use that as a unifying accent- glad it seems to be working.

The turquoise is offensive - in a good way. Really brings out the chaotic nature.
Particularly good red work I must say!

Orange.... eeugh. Glad I didn't see that comment while I was still working on them. Seriously, makes me appreciate everything wrong with those weird models. Also, add another weird thing the list of "what is that?!" when describing those mounts.
Ace, thanks- yeah, I felt I hit the mark just right with it- made me want to finish off the little BA force I had started after that turned out so well.
Also, the full unit now, with a few thoughts (http://spiralingcadaver.blogspot.com/2014/01/charge-of-light-sea-horse-dragon-ish.html), as usual.

Also, the mounts can be fielded separately:

Can always spot the fellow sons of sanguinius from their reds ;)
Feedback wise, unit is looking great together, but if I have to nitpick some form of feedback, I'd say the flash could be brought back a level or get some extra detailing, though I appreciate you're probably going for that alien, overexposed look.
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

ACE01- heh, yeah- remember my first exercise in painting BA's (a friend's collection) and how much agony that was... if you play Blood Angels, you definitely need to like red.
Re: minis, those are actually without a flash, the pale armor is actually pretty close to white, though I might have gone a little overboard on highlighting it, since, as you said, I lost a little detail in it.
