View Full Version : What model kits do YOU want out

Inquisitor Gray

So my question to people is what model kits do YOU want made for your army. I personally would like plastic Inquisitor sets, similar to the SM Captain ones.

Melissia
12-16-2009, 12:32 PM
Plastic Sisters of Battle with helmets and feminine looking heads (the helmets look more feminine than some of the unhelmeted heads), exchangeable poses and weapons, and combiweapons Sister Superior models.

Everything else I might want would be done via painting and conversion (Celestians have a golden left shoulder, Sister Superiors have a golden right shoulder, Canonesses have silver shoulders and helmet, etc).

I second the plastic sisters! Also:

Plastic Horrors and Plaguebearers
Plastic Daemon Prince (last I heard, the kit was completed, but still hasn't been released >_<)
Plastic Stormtroopers for conversions

At the risk of agreeing with Melissia, I would love plastic Sisters of Battle models, as well as some plastic Stormtroopers (with interchangeable heads/shoulders/something to distinguish what you're running them as (ISTs, Arbites, IG Vets, etc.)

On a lesser note, I'd like a unit of bolt pistol and chainsword Sisters, but that woudl require a new codex entirely with a unit that has bolt pistol and chainsword (Celestians come to mind, a pity GW had a brainfart and didn't give an assault unit assault weapons).

I would love to see the aforementioned plastic Stormies (though given all the metal ones I already have that could lead to compatibility issues if they used a different version), plastic Thunderhawk, and plastic Sisters. Mostly I have more humble desires, I would like to see some different plastic Guard components, things like booster packs of different legs (with storm coats), torsos (with Mordian style tunics, or just different armor), heads (different helmets and/or bare heads), and weapons. At the very least I would like to seen plastic female Cadians ("birth rate and recruitment rate are synonymous" damn it!).

If money were no object, I would honestly have to say I want an Imperitor Titan from Forge World. I don't know if I would ever have the chance to use it but it would look so awesome...

Storm troopers (guard and =I=, with arbites options)
All the guard tanks that aren't out yet.
Plastic Sister (that can be posed/modeled to be most of the squad types)
Plastic Inquisitor and retinue set (although I've been thinking the guard HQ sets could make for good retinues by themselves)
Something big for the Eldar to match the Stompa and IG Superheavys. Maybe with optional bits that would make it work for Dark Eldar as well.
Plastic Aspect Warriors
A 3rd type of basic guard trooper, not just Catachan and Cadia, but some other world. Necromunda (based on the original Rogue Trader minis) comes to mind.

For necrons ;
Plastic Immortals, Obelisks, Wraiths and Pariahs.

Chaos :
Plastic Tzeentch Horrors (with command squad upgrades) and Plastic Tzeentch Flamers. Make them even MORE weird and abstract too please.

And into more unrealistic dream fantasy land...

Minor-Races :
id like to see minor-races get some model representation in the "Collectors" section. One or two blisters released once in a while for backround races.

Enslavers, Demiurg, Hrud/Umbra, Lost and the damned and Q'orl all codices and plastic ranges. I said it was fantasy land dammit.

Plastic wyches would be nice if they were a decent sculpt, but I can work well without them.

What I want is a decent haemoculi model! They're meant to be powerful, skilled torture technicians. They're a HQ choice! And they look like zombies in a toga with a lampshade on their head.

I don't mind that this would be a metal model, I just want a decent metal model.

Maybe a new tank of some sort or just bring out the Repressor transport too.
Maybe bring out a variable optioned Cannoness with possibility to Jump Pack. Sprues to make Celestians Jump Pack capable also to follow a "Flying Nun of Doom".

Bring our a new squad choice or Super heavy preferably just for the SoB.

I'd love to run a Mordian army, were it not for the one thing stopping me from funning Guard (Big army, money, painting, etc) and also because the Mordians are metal. Sure they are fine models, especially the Heavy Weapon teams, but talk to any Witch Hunter player about full metal armies.

Really? I love the Helbrecht sculpt. I think GW does too because he's still the front man for their website.

A lot of the older space marine heros need new sculpts, they just look so little compared to the full sized plastic marines now days. Everyone from Azzy, Logan, Abbadon, Ulric, and the whole BA's line, especially phantom of the opera boy.

I just don't understand why GW doesn't have T-wolves in the pipe at all. They are obviously hugely popular options-wise for leaders, and are a popular unit in their own right themselves. It doesn't take a genius to see that a wargear that gives the beasts unit type, +1 to A, Str, and T would be a popular choice, does it? I guess they expect us all to just go buy 5 Canis Wolfborns by selling our limbs on the black market and convert them all instead, right?

To get enough for a single squad of T-wolves I would have to pay more than I did for my entire Space Wolves army, FFS.

Yes! GW has the tech for excellent plastic HQ kits, see the SM captain and Chaos termi-lord/sorceror. Loads of options, look great. Now imagine a similar Eldar Autarch, Ork Warboss, or Inquisitor kit. So many possibilities.

Oh, and I can say that after the joy of putting together 9 Ork walkers (8 kans, 1 deffdread) I gotta say this: MAKE PLASTIC ORK WALKERS. The molds for the metal ones are piss poor and hard to put together.

It wouldnt be worth it, but we need a plastic Commissar Kit, becouse that would be awesome. Posable Commissars are epic. With powerfists, plasma pistols, swords, and lord commissar options.

In a more rational world, I really feel like GW needs Plastic Demons
And Plastic Grey Knight Terminators.

RogueGarou

I would love to see the new Chimera kit include a couple of bits to build Salamanders. Not a lot of bits required and it would help lessen the blow of not getting a tank accessory sprue any more. It's a pipe dream.

Also, if or when the plastic Stormtroopers release, a set of heads wearing berets like my old school Sormtroopers. The beret head is the main reason I want the Catachan Command box.

A couple of years ago a group commissioned some bits that happened to fit the arms of the Cadian Guardsmen to make female troopers. I would love to get some female Cadians. They would need new arms, torsos, legs, heads, pretty much a whole new sprue. I would buy them as soon as they were released. I would preorder two boxes the moment they went up for sale. Even a metal female Cadian. My Tanith have female troopers, some Tanith and some converted from the Catachan female. Other than that, my Cadians only have Rogue Trader females and female Commissars. Even my Last Chancers/Penal Legionairres have female troopers. Inquisitors and Sisters have female models. Eldar, Dark Eldar, too. The novels. Come on already, throw us a bone.

Pretty much anything that can be released in plastic, go for it. I have been using metal minis for many, many years and I am tired of the pinning and filing and re-gluing. To adapt a phrase from Stan "The Man" Lee, "Make Mine Plastic!"

Oh, yeah. Two words. I do not care if it is metal or plastic. Adeptus Mechanicus. My Skuls Mechanicus and the odd Mech models are getting lonely. Let us have Electro Priests. More crazed Tech Priests. More cyborg-ed out goodness. Bring us the Cult of the Machine God!

Hey, I'd get that, I have no love for the Imperium. And with the sheer amount of SoB players (I'm fairly sure SoB are not meant to outnumber loyalist marines in an area, even if chaos outnumbers them combined) I'd have partners for 2v2. :p

So basically we all want existing metal models in plastic?

What I'd like is the bitz service reinstated, and certain OOP models brought back in. I loved all of brian nelson's metal orks, and there are very few that you can get now.

Also, get rid of the Mr Potato Head and give us a REAL stompa- just like the forgeworld megadread.

And, I concur on the direct order Bitz service. I miss it greatly.

Actually, I think things like Inquisitors, Daemon princes, Captains, Chosen, Possesed, Raptors, Ork Kommandos, 1st company marines, Grey Knights, Chaos Cult troops etc. should come in a descent looking option filled plastic kit, and metal blisters that lack the options and easy to buildness but look amazing. Battle of Iyanden (Tyranid vs Eldar), Battle of some necron tombworld (Tau vs Crons), battle of some chaotic looking thing (Guard and maybe DH vs CSM). With a bunch of easy snap fit models, I think these would definitely sell well. And would be a great way to get a variety of start up armies, which would lead to the purchase of regular models to expand the ranges people by from these boxes.
