All,

I have started my second Land Raider (A Crusader) and I am wondering in what order I should paint it. I currently have the main body together (Just the interior, which I am not going to paint, the motor, the exhaust, the inner sides, the assault ramp/doors on the front, and the armor plate that holds the twin linked Assault Cannon). Should I go ahead and do the outer sides and the treads with the top armor and then prime it all? And then do everything else?

The Hurricane Bolters would obviously be painted separately to make sure that I got them correct. I am just wondering if there are any other steps I should follow. I am going to really put the time in on this one and make it look great.

I tend to glue the doors shut on my LRs (forgeworld doors just don't work nicely in the open close mechanism) as well. The only bits I tend to leave off when painting are the sponsons and the turret weapons, painting them unattached just makes life easier.

The Land Raider is a nice boxy shape that makes painting assembled quite easy.
