So it's a cardboard box with foam trays for infantry?

What is the benefit of this over Chessex hardcases / Battlefoam / whatever?

price I´d guess - 30$ isn´t exactly expensive...

Hello everyone, yes that is exactly what we are addressing with this project. I am tired of overpaying for foam.

I have been linked that on facebook after i started the project. I did the math and it appears at least in the united states i am slightly cheaper especially when you get in to larger quantities. I cannot speak any more on that case because i have never seen one in person.

I have three of their MASSIVE ones and they're tough, cheap and modular. Your product is indeed $4 cheaper per case if purchased via amazon.com, although theirs holds 20 more miniatures and has a handle.

Still for anyone in the US you'd officially be the second cheap seller out there. For us international folks it's less cut and dry.
Wish you all the best with your kickstart though.

Edit: did some digging because we've all been burned by KS at least once before (
I won't be investing because as an Aussie customer I'm not going to reap a major benefit, but US guys sure can.
For those thinking of investing here's RTP's website and a link to their eBay Seller profile;
They seem pretty legit.

And as a mini seller they've done quite well.

In the US there is a cheaper way to box mini's. Diamond Comic Distributors ships comics to comic stores in boxes that will hold 3 GW trays ($20.00) with some room on top for books, templates, etc. Make friends with your local comic shop (like I did) and you can probably get some leftover boxes.

A Chessex hardcase has a MSRP of $30, holding 80x 25mm infantry models, and that plastic shell is far more durable than cardboard.

yes that is an option but they are not nearly as user friendly or good looking as the boxes i offer. for just 10 more than those gw trays you get an extra tray and a box that is designed to hold them.

and yes the chessex cases are awesome i have owned several in the past. not very good for tanks or monstrous creatures though and for the same price you get twice the storage. Truth is i plan on making this product as amazing as i can. I hate having to defend my price but i made the note that i am the cheepest and i still believe it is true for what you are getting. A dedicated storage that comes with the precut foam for minis.

I want to thank those that have taken the time to look at our project. good or bad i also appreciate all the comments and criticisms they continue to push me toward making a better project.

-Regards,

Robert

Oh that will solve my green tide problem nicely.

The Feldherr lucky box scheme is frankly awseome too.
For 150 euroes I got enough casage to hold the contents of 9 GW army cases!
They aren't always on sale but when they are they're brilliant.

rtpminis really seem to want to offer a decent product for american folks, and I'm always behind the small businessman.
The epically obvious fake plug post made me laugh though.

Yah, ill admit that protag is one of the guys from my local 40k community... although i did not ask him to do it they were trying to help promote for me. Which i appreciate

Good guys. For future reference BOLS appreciates people willing to come on and plug their stuff. If you do a good enough job and include a write-up and some pics admin may even pick it up and get you on the front page (NO PROMISES, to be clear I am neither admin NOR do I have any influence over them). The product you offer seems pretty neat, people here would likely be interested.

That is very good to know. I will not go and write a separate post however for this project because i dont want two posts up about it. I do appreciate the feedback from everyone and if anyone has questions comments or concerns you can reach me here or on facebook. :)

yes but the foam is not the expensive part its the box or case to transport them in. and to be honest I cardboard box doesn't seem to be that much better then a hard plastic box that cost a few bucks more. plus the minute water hits that box your going to need a new one

Masked - So i transport my armies to and from the stores and tournaments in a gw hard case. always have. but when i get home i have no where to put my armies that i am not using. This was originally started as an at home storage solution, although it will be strong enough to be used in transport. I am looking at a hard case system to be released at a later time that will work perfectly in conjunction with the foam from this case. However you are correct it is cardboard and if you want to be able to throw your minis in the bathtub while still in there storage case you will need a new box.

Makes sense, that's how I use my Feldherrs;
Big Bulk goes in the cardboard cases, armies for games go in hardcases.
No point in paying the premium for a transport case to shove it in a stack.
Chuffed to see another small business minis project funded btw, even if it's not really of benefit to me :(
For those still looking into this I jut thought I'd chuck this out there. Their $225(US) dollar level pledge gets you storage for 1600 infantry sixed models :eek:
To get that in GW cases costs $651.75(US) and you only get 1560 models worth!
