I've recently been going over the games I've played in the last year and come to a realization: I enjoy playing the attrition game and I do it well.
Now I am trying to figure out how to do so with my first faction, Cygnar. And I need help because so far all I've come up with is the Piper plus Stormnouns, Boomhowlers, Forgeguard or Sword Knights any of which have an armor or defense buffing spell on them. And while that is all well and good, there has to be more ways out there. So I'm curious as to what others have come up with along this train of thought.

Much to my dismay, no one has replied to this, so I shall sir.
I always seem to find a good attrition caster by looking at how they win games, which is making favorable piece trades in their favor, or simply just outlasting and grinding down your opponent. For Cygnar, both Haley's are good at this, and some can pull double duty, like Sloan.
pHaley has one big turn - and that's her feat turn. If you've got Gun Mages and Tempest Blazers, plus a Stormwall and some jamming infantry, and can capture all of them in her feat bubble, then you're going to lay a massive hurt on your opponent. Just be patient for when to pull that feat trigger. Once the smoke clears, assuming pHaley is still in a strong board position and not overly exposed, you should have put your opponent with less models to do work with that. That's some favorable attrition.
eHaley dials it up 11 - and any opponent you play will tell you that surviving eHaley's feat turn is clutch, and that she's a manageable opponent. But that feat turn...man...it's brutal. Use it punish your opponent, and take away from him as much as you can via board positioning and restricting his game plan. Screwing an activation order up is incredibly good.
Sloan screams 'shoot me in the head' sniper assassination caster. She can do it too - which is a little misleading. Using her threat range (14+2 for FG), and refuge, she has a 22 inch threat range. If you took Rienholdt for an extra shot (as you always should), she can drop support UA's and solo's like bad habits, and then refuge to saftey. Is Rhupert giving those Menoth Errants tough? Bullet to the head. Maybe the Troll Warriors UA is giving them a mini-feat he hasn't used yet - Bullet to the head. Sloan dismantles your opponents army's working synergy. Keep in mind you'll only get 1 or 2 turns of doing that though. After things get engaged, I find it tricky with her. And if your opponent hangs the caster exposed, sure, hog all your focus, and put 3 boosted WM shots into'em.
Also, for attrition, get our most durable infantry to outlast others - the Boomhowler mercs. Maybe spice in Murdoch for some extra attention, but he's very optional.

I am very familiar with Sloan, since she is one of my favorite casters and has racked up (pun intended) a several caster kills over the course of my career. Which brings me to the attrition game. I've been having trouble using her in such a fashion. Any caster with Arcane Shield can handle that well, the Haleys' can do it very well but Sloan seems to not be able to pull it off as well.
But mostly I was asking if others had found ways to play the attrition game in Cygnar other than what I had mentioned.
