Superheavy vehicles declaring targets

Hello everyone, I was curious about superheavy vehicles (and I guess normal vehicles with multiple weapons too) declaring their targets.

Must they declare all their targets with each weapon before firing? This makes sense to me, as isn't it supposed to all happen simultaneously?

Seems like some people declare a gun's target, fire, see what happens, then decide if they need to keep firing at the same unit with other weapons rather than choose ahead of time. This could be very key in a deciding the fate of many units in a game.

declaration of shots is all simultaneous for any single model or unit of models. so tau who can split fire and any super heavy must declare all shots before rolling for any.

They cannot fire one gun at a time until they kill X, then shoot at Y. They must declare which guns are shooting at what before resolving anything.
