Most were, they were just limited, and never remade after GW started making their own games instead of just doing D&D, CoC, Judge Dredd etc.

I own the ones from Advanced Heroquest, in plastic.

Wow, there's definitely some ancient history in there. Some of them I definitely would have liked to have seen...others, well, they were probably all right being unreleased. :)

...though I have to admit, now I really want a Death Ferret model.

i'm not trying to be critical or anything but i am finding a lot of inaccuracies throughout this wiki. for instance, ( http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Image:Unreleased_-_Dark_Eldar_Prisoner.jpg ) these are on Asdrubael Vect... which means they were released. i found others that were as well... some i even own.

It says unreleased, or limited edition.

Tons of lovely stuff hidden in GW's dusty history, rather pleased to call myself the proud owner of a mint Nagash mini...alright, he is a tad ugly. But still, it's all about the sentimental value for me with him ;)

In am rather sad some of these minis never hit the stores, take the Khemri Tomb Guard for example. I for one would have certainly baught some of these (http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Tomb_Kings_-_Unreleased). Same goes for Malekith on foot (http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Image:Unreleased_-_Dark_Elf_Malekith_on_foot.jpg)!
