can a nob pain boy take a powerclaw as well as he's urty syringe? can he choose what one he would like to use in close combat
this what would also effect he's indicative so would you have to pick 1 weapon and use that for all the attacks?

The answer seems to be no. As the Ork FAQ states (http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3180058a_Orks_v1.4_APRIL13.pdf):


Q: Can a Painboy in a unit of Nobs take the ‘eavy armour, bosspole, Waaagh! Banner or ammo runt upgrades? (p98)
A: No.

These are options that are available to "Any Nob." Since the fifth bullet point in the nobz army list entry, which begins "Any Nob may ..." does not apply to painboyz, it seems logical to assume that the third and fourth bullet points, which also begin "Any Nob may ..." do not apply to painboyz either.

Yeah, in essence, you're replacing a Nob with a Painboy, he's no longer a Nob so can't take any options that a Nob can take

IIRC in Imperial Armour 8 there are rules for a Pain Boss, bassically a Pain Boy that has improved stats and access to Warboss wargear

well there a lot of good stuff in here! I wanted to make that painboy model into a nob biker but even with the pain boss option he cant be a biker....
I did see the mek boss and thought for a second...wait does this mean I can have a shock attack gun model in mega armour? but no! they also ruined that idea!

Actually, he can be a biker. The codex states that the entire mob can be upgraded to bikes, which includes the painboy. The other options state that a nob may take them, which excludes the painboy. My wife runs a painboy biker squad, and it is most certainly a pain to deal with.

no im talking abou the Pain boss, not the pain boy
