hi everyone i could use some help

ok so here is my problem I'm conflicted between a full space marine army or allying them with tau? I got tau pretty quick but I'm all ready starting up a space marine army and I like them but I'm still stumbling over my self. with them and I got tau faster then I got space marines so I thought I could put the two of them to gather so I don't waste my marines so I'm looking for a good list for them I figured I could have path finders, fire warriors, rip tides, drones, devil fish and the devil fish with the rail guns and some battle suites with allied tack squads, rhinos, drop pods, bikes, and close combat terminators. so what do you think and what is a good 1500 and 2000point army

My advice: stick to one army until you have it down pat. I mean to the point where you've memorized the codex, back and forth, and could be called upon at any random point to give a dissertation on the fluff behind the development of the Farsight Enclaves. Once you have a single army figured out and you know you can win with it in most situations, then you can feel more comfortable spreading into new armies.

Kath's right. I would stick with one or the other until you can tell me from memory what each model does. The list sounded good though.
