Some pics of a conversion I did for an Overseer with his (as yet unfinished) squad of psykers:

Hey they look really cool mate. Where did you get the Astra symbol on the Overseer's shoulder pad?

I also converted an Overseer a couple of weeks ago, and just finished painting my psyker squad if anyone's interested in seeing them.

Greenstuff, a pin, and very steady hands... :D

I for one would like to see 'em.

The hood, the long coat over the legs, and all of the adeptus astra telepathica symbols are GS. The legs and body are from one of the tank crew models, the head and weaponry are from a standard infantry sergeant.

Great conversion work! I like the hood especially. If I could offer a suggestion, the models look like they could use a light bit of shading and then a good ink wash.

Suggestions are always welcome, and you may be right about that, but I am a bit gun-shy when it comes to highlights and ink washes. I have seen very few effective uses of these techniques, for the most part those that I see actually hurt the model in my opinion, making it look messy or dirty. Even the good ones tend to to look good close up when examining one model at a time, but from a distance they tend to confuse or dull the model.

I tend to look at painting in terms of units and armies, so I worry more about crisp and uncomplicated paint schemes that unite the army and aren't overly busy. Add to this that my painting skills are probably only average, and you will understand why I haven't highlighted or ink washed them.

On the other hand, I am always willing to learn new techniques and ideas, so if you have any insights on the matter I would love to hear them.
