Had a go at converting a field surgeon and came up with Doc Butcher. I'm relatively new to sculpting, so please forgive the chunkyness of the sculpt.

Actually, I think it's pretty good. I'd suggest a bonesaw or something akin to that hanging from his waste.

Rack of ribs from the Kroot sprue? ;) But yes, more tools would imprve him, though he still looks good to me.

Nicely done!
I think he looks great.
And yes, you should definitely give him a bone saw - made out of an ork chainsword - but cut down a bit.
That would look awesome.

that looks really good!! the only thing i would suggest is maybe trying to get smaller teeth and a rounded front on the saw

I hate it. I hate it because I couldn't do it and it's brilliant.

That looks amazing, especially since i was expecting to see an ork painboy ;)
Make sure that when he is painted give him lots of blood splash on his apron

Looks great, I think your modeling skills are better than you think!

I think the part you need (on his back, side, or somewhere) is the piece from the Kroot sprue, second from the bottom, second row from the right (the jagged knife, hook, and cleaver). Would look nice, and any Kroot owner has a few lying around.

Cheers Marshal, must admit, I've impressed myself with how well this has come out considering I'm new to this sculpting lark.

@Faultie - Cheers for the pic but the Doc's already primed for painting now. I might use that for another idea I've had though.

Finished Doc Butcher last night, I went a bit OTT with the blood on his apron, but it was very late and I wanted him done. What ya think guys?
