GW Digital (https://www.facebook.com/GamesWorkshopDigitalEditions) threw up this image - those little teases :)

Any guesses?

I don't know why but it screams Dark Eldar to me. That or demons.

Hmmm... I know that GW Digitial: Facebook seems to emphasize 40k, but doesn't the Digital section of black library cover fantasy as well?

Looks like an WFB Empire Bright Wizard to me.

I concur. This is more Fantasy than 40k.

With those claw hands? Besides, I don't see what they could do with an empire supplement. Or any supplements for armies. It's not like there is anything stand out that you could do an army supplement for that isn't covered in the main books. A broader expansion, perhaps, but we just had Triumph and Treachery so I doubt it.

True, but has GW done any supplements for Fantasy?

I think there is a wing in the background. A bat styled wing. So I would say Demons or Chaos. The hand also looks to be tinted blue, so Tzeentch?

Wildeybeast
11-25-2013, 03:35 PM
Who said it was a supplement ?

No one. The FB page says it from a digital book (dur) which means either supplement or expansion, right? The pure background books are handled by BL aren't they?

Mr Mystery
11-25-2013, 03:37 PM
Hand doesn't look skinny enough to be Eldar. And too many fingers to be Tau. Defo not Nids either on account it's not a claw or talon.

Very unlikely to be Astartes or Guard due to imagery and lack of power armoured Gauntlet.

In short? Buggered if I know!

Hey Guys,
We’ve just reached 7,000 likes!
Thank you for signing up everyone (and particular thanks to like number 7,000, Tim Trammel).

As a reward, you all get to see this snippet from the artwork of a new digital book, coming this December.
If you want to find out who’s mysterious, flaming, magical, claw-hand that is, we’ll reveal all on December 1st.

Until then, wild speculation is welcome and encouraged.

- Eddie

Not sure what that implies, but it's no given it's a 40k supplement. I'm sticking with it being Fantasy. I could be wrong, but I guess we will all find out soon enough :D

If you magnify the picture enough, you can see what appears to be a face behind the hand and the flaming orb too.

could it be "new Index Chaotica: Eye of Terror" they just posted that up a few hours ago?

thinking about it now, kind of reminds me of the old cover photo of mister sinister holding a burning planet

I didn't see the comment on facebook. I'm just basing this on the name of the image when I click on it from here. I could very easily be wrong :)

Hmm... this has gotten me thinking actually. If this was a Chaos Demon supplement, I wonder if there would be any impacts for the fantasy version of Chaos Demons.

Don't think it's got anything to do with the digital release to the Horus Heresy book Aurelian ? Just looked at Barcodes product release post for Dec.

Something to do with Sigmar's Blood book that is listed in three different formats on the products page? No idea what that is, but I'm excited by the sounds of it.

Yeah, that is not the arm of an Eldar.

I have almost finished painting my Thousand Sons/Tzeentch army. I would love to get a supplement for all my hard work :)

I reckon we could be about to see the first digital supplement for fantasy? can those medieval peasants work an Ipad?

I'd note, for the record, that this appears to be two left arms. From the same character.

...not that it necessarily narrows things down much. :p

It could be Belakor from Warhammer Fantasy. Don´t know what zhis would mean for a digital release but the colour and the wing would match.

Now I wonder if this is the rumoured supplement where Volkmar the Grim invades Sylvania to try to draw out Mannfred von Carstein.

Two left arms eh?

1) Villitch The Cursling, from out of Warhammer. Or indeed, anything Tzeentchy. Ties in with the fireball of firey.

2) Genestealer Hybrid. But no, it's not. Let's face it. That's like feigning disappointment when yet again a Hertz Doughnut turns out to just be a punch on the arm.

They said it´s the same person in two different pieces of art. So it doesn´t have to be someone/thing with two left arms. The non-feathered wing an the too humanlike hand don´t fit a greater demon af tzeentch. But it seems do be something demonic. Which obviously can cast fireballs. Fateweaver has at least a claw on it´s feathered wings. So maybe a Tzeentch book after all.

I've seen a number of people who have come to the conclusion that this character has two left arms.

These are two SEPARATE pictures of the SAME CHARACTER.

nowhere is there an indication of the character having two left arms (if it did then yeah I'd suggest vilelitch).

I think the most accurate suggestion so far is belakor, wings, magic, blue skin and foreamr spike all fit him.

edit: hmm it could be a stylised fateweaver....book of tzeentch or daemon supplement
edit2: Naah dont think its fateweaver, the proportions are too human and not at all frail.

edit3: yeah definately be'lakor

The fireball hand is most definitely a right hand. Just look at the side the thumb is on. If it were a left hand, it wouldn't have an opposable thumb.

the thumb is on the right side of the picture, as it would be if you were looking at a persons upraised hand.

GW Digital Editions said they will reveal whatever this release is tomorrow. A person asked if it had to do with Thousand Sons, and their response was;

All will be revealed tomorrow.
(And whatever is released, it is all part of Tzeentch's great plan.)

With the pictures we've seen, plus this hint, it seems all but guaranteed it is a Tzeentch supplement of some kind.

Wildeybeast

Well, it is Tzeentch-related.....but not directly.

It's a Belakor mini-supplement with fluff and rules to use in either Fantasy or 40K (or both), depending on the edition you buy.
