So I am slowly building a Sororitas list, but I have just come into about 4000 points of DA for $150.

I was looking at lists for allying the sisters woth the DA, and I really don;t see the point.

Is there any valid reason to take Marines with SoB as allies? I have previously thought about doing a Librarian and tac squad in a storm raven with a dread as allies to my SoB, but the other way around seems to make little sense.

any thoughts?

I really like Sammael and a ravenwing army. Maybe they could storm forward and let the sisters hang back and hold the objectives?
That's what I'm doing with Tau allies.

That's what I do sometimes with Sisters of Allies and Blood Angels.

Alrighty then so taking that idea:

Sammael on Corvex

command squad/banner of devestation

2x RAS with speeder (AC, MM) and Attack Bike (MM)

2X Sister Squad with 20x Sisters, Simulacrum, MG, HF

2X priests

Avenger Strike Fighter, Missile launchers

comes in at 1994

If I were to add anything it would be an Inquisitor for the servo skulls

Does Sammael make Ravenwing troops when in an allied detachment? I seem to recall the troop swap being a restriction on Belial at least. I'd also suggest splitting one of those 20 sister blobs and trying to find room for transports of some sort, for objective holding/protection purposes.

Sammael is in the primary detachment.

A fearless, 20 strong squad is going to be hard to move off an objective
