About three things I was absolutely positive. First, I had a pokemon. Second, there was a part of me - and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be - that wanted to be the very best, like no one ever was. Third, Gary Oak was unconditionally and irrevocably a douchenozzle.

Also, Kirsten/Mystery you collecting amiabos yet?

I got a Samus, and fox but not used them yet.
SO got link, toon link, marthius(? or similar) and a pit.

Was looking for a zelda, but everywhere just has peach.

Might get a shiek instead...

Bought some of those infinity storage hexagons. what you can't see on the box is theres a hole and clips to hold infinity's so you need to make plasticard filler pieces to store amiibo figures in them...

Kirsten
01-30-2015, 10:06 AM
have you done anything with your Amiibos? even after reading up about them I am still not sure what they do exactly. I do like the figures though, really like Zelda

Psychosplodge
01-30-2015, 01:08 PM
I think they're like DLC characters for things like mario kart and smash bros, and possibly hyrule warriors.
But on some games they apparently level up? and they're linkable or something so you can use them on other peoples systems but still with your stats or something?
I'll try and have a go with them sunday.

Kirsten
01-30-2015, 01:53 PM
as I understand it they unlock costumes for mario kart and hyrule warriors, and if you use it with smash brothers then the amiibo levels up to provide a high level opponent, kind of like ghost data. something like that anyway.

not entirely sure it grabs me, but they are nice so I might pick a few up at some point

I was in the mood for some FPS action and lo and behold, CoD Advanced Warfare was half price in Tesco last night.

have played for a few hours now, and mixed feelings. it has some interesting mechanics thrown in, double jumping, wall climbing, a deployable riot shield, your own personal assault drone... but these things can only be used in very narrowly defined parameters. if you try to double jump on to a roof to get a better angle, nope. jumping is for scaling walls when told. the riot shield, despite being a simple fold away device, can only be taken out and used once per mission. same with the drone, and it tells you when to deploy it.

I get every Call of Duty, and they are enjoyable, but at this point they are so scripted they might as well just make films instead. there are loads of quick time events and the prompts are tiny and white, so they don't stand out at all from the background, they aren't even in a central position or anything. so what might be a cool sequence ends up just being a series of deaths as you learn the routine, by the time you do it it is no longer cool.

as usual for these games, your character is the rookie, new to the unit, and you get grudging praise at the end of the mission despite the fact the rest of your squad might as well not actually be there. 'Mitchell press the elevator button' 'Mitchell take out that tank' 'Mitchell, single handedly win this war whilst we sit around at the base and watch you on tv'. so after doing the entire mission yourself, 'not too bad Mitchell, you might turn out ok'. **** you. It is like at the end of Assassin's Creed 2 when, having single handedly foiled the Templars and killed more people than the plague, you are told 'not bad, you can join our gang' screw you, you can join my gang if you like. maybe.

During an early mission in Advanced Warfare, where you are in a simulated environment to get used to your new bionic arm, get up to scratch with the team etc. you can choose your own loadout. but during actual missions? no, you shall use the guns you are told to use. As shooters go, I much prefer Battlefield, which gives a lot more freedom. Sniper Elite is the best series though, choose your own gear at the start of the mission, pick your path, pick your style, actual skill involved in the shooting. think I will go download the Sniper Elite 3 DLC and save Churchill instead.

Psychosplodge
02-02-2015, 03:17 AM
I've never got on with CoD. It just seems so dull. My fps of choice is still TF2, with the occasional foray into planetside 2.

Kirsten
02-02-2015, 11:39 AM
I find it quite enjoyable most of the time. not enough that I ever get it on launch day, I got Advanced Warfare for £25 and that is the most I would pay for it. will trade it in this coming weekend for about £17 at Game. The reviews stated that this latest one took a leaf out of Titanfall's book and mixed things up a bit, was much more free flowing, varied etc. but the single player is still the same old scripted crap. it gets worse with each new release really, the same few mission types, like the obligatory stealth mission where you simply crawl after somebody else and do exactly what they do or you lose. I know people say 'oh but CoD is just a multiplayer game' but some of us remember when it was a refreshing and powerful single player game that pushed FPS' at the time.

in other news, I am a big fan of the Sniper Elite add ons, Na zi Zombies. and now there is a third installment in the series coming, along with the first two games, to PS4 and XB1. the best part, as well as the original main character, it adds a choice of eight others to play as, four of whom are female

the best part, as well as the original main character, it adds a choice of eight others to play as, four of whom are female

This reminds me... The best game for making any kind of protagonist, hands-down, is Saints Row. Especially the latter entries. You can choose to be male or female, aren't locked into voice or gestures by gender, can make any body type you want, any skin color (though the voices are a bit limited in ethnic range, but heck, it's still amazing to have six different voices to read all those lines), and you can dress in any outfit you want. Want a female boss with a male voice? You got it! Fat black lady (example from a video about SR3)? Yep! Male boss who likes to wear dresses and style his hair like a 50s housewife? You can do that too! And in SR2, which still had "escort missions" (not the type of "escort missions" you're used to), you could do them as male or female. The latest one, which decided to just let people "romance" any member of the crew (kind of as a poke at Bioware), lets you go for any gender or even a robot, if you're into that.

Even Gat Out of Hell, which doesn't have you playing your "boss," gives you the choice of Gat or Kinzie, so you have male or female characters to play.

And while the stories are pretty silly and crazy, I think the female characters are pretty well-balanced, and actually strong characters.

The games aren't everyone's cup of tea, but heck, if you want fun (and funny) action games that let you go crazy with the type of character you play, it's worth dropping a little money on them. SR2 is when it starts getting good, then SR3 gives more options but starts the spiral into madness (glorious, wonderful madness).

Kirsten
02-05-2015, 10:54 AM
Saints Row IV where one male voice option is Nolan North. It is listed as such, and he just plays himself. It is amazing

yup, **** Zombie Trilogy, out 6th of March, currently 60% off on Steam, £11.99.

I thoroughly recommend them. unlike shooters like CoD, you have to think about what you are doing, plan your approach and your shots, take your time... the zombies expansions have been ridiculed on sites like IGN for being totally unnecessary, a blatant cash in, totally different to the main game etc. but I think they are great, and being a different experience to the main game is exactly what expansions like that should be about in my opinion. when you are armed with a bolt action or semi automatic rifle having a horde of zombies running toward you is far more worrying then zombies in CoD where you load up on automatic weaponry. you can have a submachine gun or shotgun secondary weapon in Sniper Elite, but ammo is limited. you have to use a lot of booby traps, trip mines etc, and surviving is much more of a concern.

eldargal
02-06-2015, 06:45 AM
Sounds interesting, I like shooters with a bit of depth too. Don't carefor zombies at all, terribly boring as a rule but can put up with a lot more than zombies for female protagonists.:)

You just explained it right there. It's the reason zombies are such a draw. They let people get out their urge to commit violence on their fellow people by de-humanizing those people first. No guilt at all, and they get to do what they really want to do to other people.

Mr Mystery

Tyrendian

I for one did quite enjoy it - it's certainly not overly complex or anything, and neither does it look amazingly good by today's standards (especially the ground part, which honestly is very meh all around, but also not what is important about a Star Trek game^^), but it's a fun way to dive into the universe and have some good times with friends.

Kirsten

just had a go of the Warmachine Tactics demo on Steam. I am liking the look of it, it has all the rules of the tabletop in place, but with single player missions comparable to things like XCOM, Shadow of the Horned Rat, Valkyria Chronicles etc. not just skirmish line ups. worth giving it a go I would say.

if only the controls were as good as XCOM, or it had any kind of artificial intelligence beyond the level of a three year old... as an alpha or maybe early beta it would have been plenty good, but it's rather ridiculous to call the game in its current state "finished" and start releasing (expensive) DLC for it... the faults of Early Access for you :( Don't get me wrong, it's definitely worth a try and it does have great potential once the controls are less dodgy and there is a more meaningful selection of units (not that I expect many more free units to make it into the game - probably lots more DLC coming). But as it is now, I really can't justify the price tag they slapped on it...

Kirsten
02-27-2015, 05:24 PM
when it was first released I was expecting it to be half the price it turned out to be. it certainly doesn't seem to be very finished it is true, I noticed a few bugs just doing a couple of missions. worth downloading the free demo though.

Bought my first ship. "Upgraded" from the starter ship to the Adder (http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Adder) can make credits space trucking quicker now. The downside is this one sounds like the ******* offspring of a messerschmitt and a tractor. Just need about two million or so and I'm outfitting it to go exploring :D

how does it compare to X3? (I'll just forget Reunion, as is best done...) From a quick skim of the wiki it looks like it's generally more "modern" with a couple more features (yay mulitplayer), but no personal fleet or capital ships?

Psychosplodge
03-03-2015, 04:23 AM
It's clearly the same style. I prefer the jump system and supercruise over the speeding up time of X3. There's a lot of similarity. Cargoes are smaller, but so are prices (this is my initial impression for about 15-20 hours play) There's a lot less random attacks/easier to escape so far but that could be my location/cargo I'm carrying. though there is an interdiction mechanic where they pull you out of supercruise. There's a fuel mechanic which I know X3 only had for the jumpdrive. Ship weight matters for fuel use/jump distance.
Binary stars are also annoying as they sometimes mess up your hyperspace jump and damage you. The galaxy is immensely bigger, but I'm not sure how big the populated part is.
Don't think there's any aliens, at least I haven't seen anything to suggest there are any yet.
I think some of the biggest ships might be considered small capital ships I'm not sure I've not seen anything bigger than a T7 transport yet in game.
If it was a steam game I'd say wait, but obviously as a stand alone it might be better getting in early - who knows how long the servers will be up for? if they'll ever discount it?
It's the exploration I've bought it for. I'm just space trucking till I can afford the equipment I want to explore properly.

Another ED update from last night.

The game is full of sci fi film references. Tannhauser gate, wolf 359, lv 426, omicron persei, vulcan, geaorge lucas station, kahn station, and I saw "Fort Harrison" yesterday which might be a play on Harrison Ford...

Also long distance runs of rare commodities is the way to make money early game.

BTW I hate White Dwarf stars. When you jump towards them you always exit hyperspace too fast and have to take immediate avoidance action or take damage...

Psychosplodge

Trade rare commodities.
There's a web tool I've been using, I'll link later I've got it bookmarked at home, you have to do long 130ly+ trips, which is hard in the basic ship. But the payout is a lot higher than any regular commodity.
Or if you're good enough you can go pirateing/bounty hunting.
Mining is another option, but pirates prey on you more often than as a trader.
Exploration needs a good couple of million credits dropped into it to get the most out of it. Though if you wanted a lower return you could explore in the basic ship.
Bulletin board cargo runs we need four of these moving/procuring is the way I made enough to buy my second ship (before I'd discovered the rare commodities) because they're paying a higher rate for normal cargoes, and the times are usually quite generous.

sounds like the economic system is a bit simpler/smaller than in X3? as in, you don't produce stuff yourself (aside from mining) and don't have your very own economic empire lategame with dozens of factories and underlings doing your bidding?

struggling with my tablet memory settings. I have 4gb of free internal memory, and 28gb of free SD card memory, and it tells me I have insufficient memory -.-
played some Bloodbowl (79p amazingly) some Horus Heresy Drop Assault (though I can only play the intro because it wont let me unpack the rest of it, needing 400mb of free space) and some Snotling Fling

Also, Zombie Army Trilogy came out today, everybody must play it. seriously creepy, especially one PS4 where the controller occasionally makes arcane creepy whisperings at you. has a real feel of desperation to it, it can so easily go wrong and you get swamped. nice to have a zombie game where you need headshots as well, makes things tricky when you are trying to snipe shambling, staggering zombie. very tense.

Neat, should prove useful. Played it for a bit last night, I suck at flying, think I'm going to need to remap controls to WASD for moving about because when I get interdicted (hur) my piloting style can only be described as flailing about in terror until superspeed cooldown runs out.

really getting in to Zombie Army Trilogy now. Eight characters to choose from, four male, four female, all with a little bio and different backgrounds as well. I am playing as Beth Coleman, who was a portrait painter until her sitting subject tried to eat her. The games remind me a lot of Resident Evil 4, it feels like a proper zombie game, rather than stuff like Left 4 Dead or CoD Zombies. You need headshots to kill, most enemies you will kill with your sniper rifle, which means no peripheral vision, so you have to keep stopping and looking round you. I am using the M1 Carbine, 15 rounds to a magazine. you can get 15 headshots, drop 15 zombies, feel really good, then realise there are still at least 15 more bearing down on you. gets pretty tense as you frantically reload trying to keep them far enough away to snipe effectively. there are a few siege moments as well that are a lot like Resident Evil 4's that work extremely well. It does creepy very well too, at one point I was moving through a ruined building and could hear a radio somewhere with a message on loop, a desperate voice was pleading in German then in broken English saying 'please... save our souls...' over and over.

Had a mishap in Elite Dangerous last night, was delivering cargo to somewhere and was just about to dock when one of my kittens jumped on the keyboard and managed to hit the dump cargo button which I didn't know was a thing. Dumped cargo, couldn't get paid, got fined for that and also got fined for dumping cargo inside a space station.><

@EG, Forgot to warn you to unmap that on the config screen. Btw don't forget to unmap that on the config screen. Don't forget to actually pay your fine within 24 hours or they put a bounty on you. You have to contact the relevant station authorities while landed there and pay it.
Regarding interdiction I just put the dot behind me on the radar boost and run the engines up to full till the cooldown timer has run down. It normally works.

@Tyrendian While star citizrn looks good, it also looks very pay to win and your ship insurance costs actual real money every six months doesn't it?

In light of the controversy that has been extending back for more than half a year at this point, something extremely depressing has come to light.

Not too long ago, Totalbiscuit, a popular games critic who is supported by GamerGate (though he claims to be neutral), wrote a lengthy Twitlonger questioning the theory of media influence, particularly in video games, asking “where are the scientists? (http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sl499g)”

In response, an actual social scientist posted a lengthy explanation of media influence. It’s a very good read, and I suggest anyone who’s interested read it. (https://www.reddit.com/r/GamerGhazi/comments/2yeh1f/in_answer_to_where_are_the_scientists_who_study/) However, what was most important was what was added at the end:

"[added on reflection] Let me also say on other thing. There are a number of us in academia who love games, care about games, and believe games are important. We have been working for years to make games a legitimate tool for education and for study, and we were making progress. People were starting to take games seriously. And then came GamerGate. I have seen the careful progress of a decade come crashing down, and now, when I go to talk about games to industry groups or fellow academics, GamerGate always comes up as an example of how terrible and immature people who play games are. It will take years and years to repair the damage, and it is absolutely devastating to the serious study and application of the power of games to real problems. We are going to have trouble getting grants, getting foundations to fund games, and getting people to take us seriously. It is devastating and makes me very sad.
For many years, people have been fighting for games to be recognized seriously as an art form. GamerGate, as it seems, has caused serious damage to that. Social scientists have been studying the influence of games, not just because of their negative effects, but because of the potential positive effects as well. Games could potentially be a powerful tool to help teach empathy, and increase satisfaction and happiness."

But now that GamerGate has shattered public perception of gaming in academia, we may never be able to fully understand how to allow games to reach their full potential in this regard. But it’s not just media studies in video games that have suffered.

Rebecca HG, also known as 8BitBecca, is a video game archivist. Her work is vitally important to the future of video games, as the passage of time guarantees that physical storage media degrades and becomes unusable. Within decades, many out-of-print games may be lost forever, outside of illegal ROMs.

But now, thanks to GamerGate, video game archiving as a professional practice is all but dead (https://storify.com/8BitBecca/video-game-archiving-post-gamergate):

https://31.media.tumblr.com/85b53bd7f0d056f0f188b8efe3e3c498/tumblr_inline_nkxomf15Fw1r09uvv.png

To any reasonable person, this would be devastating. Nobody benefits from this. Academics refusing to take games seriously means that games can never be realized as an art form. Even worse, without academia the task of preserving, understanding, and maintaining the cultural history of games becomes a daunting task. Half of all American films made before 1950 are lost forever, and were it not for the work of archivists and academics, it’s likely we would never have been able to preserve even that much.

So what happens to video games when academics don’t take them seriously at all? What happens when people refuse to archive games or study their cultural significance?

To put it bluntly, video games will have no future. If we do not take care to study the cultural history of games, it may forever disappear to us when cartridges and CDs inevitably die, emulators become obsolete, servers shut down, manuals are lost, and the publisher history fades into obscurity.

This should make any gamer uncomfortable, but unfortunately, this is not the case. GamerGate has not been shy about their disdain for academia in video games, as evidenced by the popularity of anti-academic figures such as the Youtuber known as “Sargon of Akkad”, who is one of the most widely-praised supporters of GamerGate. Just reading the title of one of his videos tells you all that you need to know:

The Professional Cretins of Academia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhKNNnPZmBA)

In this context, GamerGate’s reaction (https://archive.today/OVf8f) to the news that academia is no longer taking games seriously is depressingly predictable (https://archive.today/1JzM4).

enjoying a bit of Helldivers this afternoon. it is a good game, a lot more depth than the usual twin stick shooters, always been a favourite genre of mine.

It does suffer, in my eyes at least, from a growing 'feature' of many games, ever present online multiplayer. if I want to play with a group of people I will do so. I did half a dozen missions minding my own business, then suddenly three other players turned up mid mission. I was level 2, they were levels 9, 10 and 16. finished the mission, got back to the ship, looking through upgrade choices, and suddenly it announces the next mission beginning. I had to quit back to the main menu to get away from it.

It was one of the major things that stopped me getting very far at all with Watch Dogs, another player suddenly turning up and an announcement that I am being hacked and must find the culprit. no. I am busy, screw them. I don't give and damn, and kindly get out of my game.

Maybe it is just me, but I do not like this forced multiplayer stuff.

picked up Bloodborne today not having really played a Dark Souls before. so far it is quite interesting, character looks cool, weapons are cool. I have a sword whip and a blunderbuss. problems, it explains virtually nothing. I know it paints itself as a hardcore, tough as nails experience, but seriously, if you tell your players nothing, you are just driving people away who might otherwise have enjoyed it and supported you. there is an article on IGN encouraging people to persevere through an incredibly difficult first hour and it starts to get rewarding. no game should require putting up with for an hour in the hopes that it gets good. having some sort of tutorial would in no way cramp their style.I am moving around ok, killed quite a few weird looking dudes. no idea why, they are just there and attacking me. but I don't know where I am, where I am going to, why, or what I am supposed to do when I get there. so there is virtually no incentive to keep playing, aside from the real world money you spent on the game. you can't pause the game, even when playing offline, which is a major **** up for any game, and I have no idea how you save the game, so I just had to turn it off and hope it has autosaved.

Kirsten
03-28-2015, 01:58 PM
ok, played it a lot last night and today, starting to really get in to it. after a few hours, a new friendly NPC appeared with whom you could spend your 'blood echoes' to level up. that alone suddenly gives you a purpose, as previously all you had been told was literally 'go out there and kill a few beasts'. with a level up system in place, then you can start grinding and improving, you have clearer targets. I have a far better idea how the game works now too. I killed the first boss on my second attempt and felt massively pleased with myself. bear in mind there are people who have quit playing entirely because they can't kill it at all, that is how hard the game can be. I stand by yesterday's points, it needs to be more newcomer friendly. there really is no reason to be so obtuse. but if you stick with it, it starts to get pretty engrossing.

not really, it forces you to learn and improve constantly. it definitely isn't perfect, but I am really getting in to it and it is very satisfying when you get it working. it needs a little more plot, I have been playing probably ten or fifteen hours and still have no idea what is going on. picked up Evolve today in the Easter sale. designed as a multiplayer game, but works fine solo too, the AI is decent. good mix of male and female characters, so interesting abilities. very very difficult to kill the monster though, I lost four of the five missions in the mini campaign.

Eidos Montreal has announced a direct sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's titled Mankind Divided and looks like it'll be an interesting follow up. Even if it flops they've recruited the same composer, so judging from previous work and the trailer at least it'll be a great soundtrack. :P

The company linked to a high def mod for the original on their offical social media pages, so I guess they think the fans already have that covered and would prefer them to work on shiny new stuff.

There's a pretty neat game called Fractured Space on free weekend on Steam. It's basically Capital (Space)Ship combat with a bit of point capping thrown in the mix, and while it's still in Alpha, as evidenced mainly by the lack of tutorials and the rather lackluster UI, it's hella fun to play. There's a dozen classes to play already, from close-range Brawlers to Snipers (odd concept for a Capital Ship, but hey...). Ship customization is rather limited atm (again Alpha), but there are some weapon and skill variants to choose from already, with more obviously on the way.
The Alpha isn't normally free, although the game itself will be free to play once finished, and it won't be pay2win (or at least so the devs claim, and they seem pretty adamant and commited about it). But anyone who gives it a spin this weekend gets to keep it for free, which I think is a rather nice touch and has skyrocketed the player base from an average 50 people online simultaneously to some 3000 at the moment.
I can definitely recommend it, even in its current state - at least if you grab it for free right now, not sure if I'd be willing to pay for it yet (but if they keep improving it I might just support them by getting a few cool skins or something)

Picked up The Marvelous Miss Take (http://misstakegame.com/) last night and it is most fun.

http://misstakegame.com/Images/daisy.pnghttp://misstakegame.com/Images/misstake.pnghttp://misstakegame.com/Images/harry.png

The stealth genre gets turned on its head in The Marvellous Miss Take – the only heist adventure that invites you to steal with style!

Break into 25 unique art galleries as three different thieves in search of the ultimate score, evading guards and using gadgets to get away with your priceless haul. Unlike other stealth games though, there’s no time for waiting in the shadows until the right moment! Wandering guards decide their patrol routes on the fly, security cameras keep watch over everything and even innocent gallery goers just visiting to admire the art might raise the alarm if they see something suspicious. Only quick wits and even quicker reflexes can help you grab the loot and escape unseen – there’s no option for violence and the clock is ticking!

Game features

Organised Chaos – More than your typical stealth game, The Marvellous Miss Take is a fluid, high-speed game of cat and mouse! Random guard patterns require players to think on their feet rather than hiding in the shadows, and one false move means escape can be snatched away from you in seconds.

Wits, Not Fists – Forget violence, takedowns or picking off guards one by one… distraction's the key to success here! Each stage stays tense from the first step to the last, so put your gadgets to good use to keep out of trouble and pilfer everything you can before someone spots you!

The Bigger Picture – Sneak into the 25 multi-floored galleries as one of three different characters, each of which has their own unique skills and goals. Can you escape safely with the maximum amount of loot and grab yourself a perfect ranking?

Artfully Accessible – Streamlined, intuitive mouse controls let you explore the colourful world of The Marvellous Miss Take with ease, making the exciting puzzle-***-stealth action accessible to players of all ages and skills.

The plot is Miss Sophia Take - who I'm reasonable sure is based on EG (rich, likes art, big hat, flails when panicked) - has her family's art collection swindled so she goes about stealing it back and eventually teams up with two other theives to hit up London's galleries. Also not sure I'd agree with the "All ages and skills" of the blurb, it gets pretty tricky and would probs be rather frustrating for ickler gamers. That said had zero actual bugs, controls and mechanics are easy to get a hold of and the graphics and audio are great and fit perfectly.

Specifically, the ones that I got leftover Steam codes for are Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. Anyone interested in those? Just drop me a pm if you want them...

Black Ops 3’s protagonist is customizable, including gender. See Ubisoft, it can be done.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, the campaign’s protagonist is fully customizable. In addition to upgrading abilities, changing your character’s appearance and tweaking weapons, players can pick the gender of their Call of Duty hero. “It’s not just a female head on a male body. It’s a different set of animations for the entire game,” Lamia says. Character interaction will even differ based on the protagonist’s gender. “We knew we were going to do fully unique male, fully unique female for all scenes and all the customization that goes for both. Thank God for Blu-ray, right?” Campaign Director and Senior Executive Producer Jason Blundell jokes, adding the game’s protagonist is fully voiced regardless of gender.

I am playing loads of Dark Souls. I downloaded it for free ages ago and never really played it. But now, after hammering Bloodborne for weeks I have started on it, and really enjoying it. Much easier than Bloodborne too, particularly the bosses. Good character customisation options and good classes too, makes a big difference to how you approach the game.

Kirsten

Regicide is interesting. there is a straight forward classic chess mode, and regicide mode and I think one other I haven't tried yet. I have never been any good at chess, partly because I have several friends who are really very good, so I got destroyed every time I played. But Regicide is quite different because you can make ranged attacks and kill pieces without taking them. taking a piece in the usual chess way works as you would expect. but after moving your one piece, you have five initiative points to spend on things like firing snap shots, casting a psychic power, or throwing a frag grenade.

XCOM2 can only be awesome though, especially with the greatly improved modding support they promised. Wonder how long it'll take before we see a 40k mod - PDF vs. Orks would be a decent fit for that methinks, depending on how much the "fighting the established occupation" theme is ingrained in the mechanics, as opposed to fighting off an actual invasion... maybe Tau instead, that might work better with the whole pacification thing...

Space an issue you say... http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-micro-atx-and-mini-itx-cases-for-your-next-pc-build/

Or, build a big beast put it in the loft and then stream to a dumb small factor/plug pc. No problems.

lols, and whats more I only eat cheese or tomato on pizza(with the sole exception of tomato soup), they feature nowhere else in my diet :D

But it still seems an awesome pizza idea
