The Lost and the clamned

In the late period of MK39.550 a Space Hulk entered a contested system. Following nearly three days of fighting between the Ork and Imperial navy the Space Hulk look set to re-enter the warp with no claiments. During the bitterly fought closing moments a single loan craft, a Freebooter Vessel, made a break for the hulk. Despite massed fire the ship was able to enter the closing warp slip before the space hulk vanished. What followed next is a matter of sifting through the verbal accounts of the Greenskins. Half of them tell of an empty vessel seeking a crew, and made the Freebooter captain a slave to its whim. Others tell of a dark diseased god offering the starved, stranded and unpaid orks a chance to live and fight forever, or that Gork and Mork themselves saw the drifting ship, and offered them a chance to be the 'andz of da godz'
Which is true is down to who tells it, though the most supported account is that the crew of that ship were left stranded on a vast hulk with little foodstocks (the ships supply, and half its crew, having been opened to the void during the fighting) and no obvious means of navigation they fell prey to the whim of the Warp Gods. New limbs, vaguely edable fungi and renewed strength entered the Orks. It came at a price however, for after nearly several weeks of these 'gifts' an emmisary of the dark gods appeared. Though he was greenskin in shape, it lacked anything naturally Ork about it. The thing spoke of how greater gifts and power would be given in return to subserviance to Nurgle. Following a tense silence the Freebooters Captain drew his heavily modified shoota and blew the creature away.
Filled with Fury Nurgle, or more probably one of his greater daemons, loosed a plaguebearer horde on the Orks. Imperial Scholors are often confused by what happened next, for tainted by nurgle and faced by an endless horde of daemons in the warp the Orks should have perished. They did not. Whether by some arcane anti-daemon hidden artifact in the ships depths or, as the Orks prefer to think, Gork (or Mork) himself cast the daemons from the ship for having the gaul to 'de-orkify da boyz' it is unclear. Whatever else happened after that is both unknown and unimportant. The Freebooter Captain took a new name, 'Kaptain Squigglybeard', in light of his new apperance. Nurgle hand had gifted him with a face full of tentacles and a 'stabby' half metal half flesh hand. From there on Squigglybeard and his surviving crew took on a new task. They were to scour real and warp space for lost orks, and to offer them a second chance to serve Gork and Mork. Those who agreed were granted with a new vitality, limbs and 'uffer benefitz' including the look of seabased life.
Now enough fluff... This plog is here so i can build a Freebooter Tournament force, and build a 'display' quality army, rather than the tabletop hilarity i have with Gitzkrieg (Link to a shared plog; Red Krumpany vs Gitzkrieg; Red Every WAAAAAAAGH! (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?383411-Red-Krumpany-vs-Gitzkrieg-Red-Every-WAAAAAAAGH!)). Hopefully this will happen largely before the next codex, though given that's May/June it should give me a good amount of time to put some effort and flavour into my work. For starters hHere's the pictures of my paint in progress Kaptain Squigglybeard;
