View Full Version : Securing Pink Foam

I have a pile of pink foam burning a hole in my desk, and I've decided to make a Lustria-themed watchtower out of it, so I can have a Fozzrik's Folding Fortress that's in-theme with my army (not that I'm likely to ever actually use that item - maybe I can donate it to my FLGS when I'm not using it).
The question I have is what sort of glue should I use to secure the pink foam? Most glues that I've used in the past have corroded the foam.
Thanks in advance. I'll be sure to post some WIP pics when I finally start the project.

I've always used good old P.V.A or a cheap wood glue :)

do americans call that Elmers glue or something?
Tooth picks can help secure foam while the glue sets too, thats my tip!

I used Liquid Nails on it recently. A tad overkill, but I had some extra lying around. Worked well for me.

PVA or a Glue gun works fine (for me at least).

Ooh! Ooh! Make it into an upside down Pyramid, but with a Pyramid on top. Like a D8!

Hot melt glue will work, you just have to do it from a slight distance so the gun nozzle doesn't melt the foam and so the glue has a third of a second or so to cool before it touches the foam. That does mean you have to be really quick with attaching the pieces together, but it will be very strong. NoMoreNails is a good call though
