Does anybody know where I could get any of these old Ork Artillery wheels from?

GW only sell them as part of their Big Gunz sets, which would be soooo expensive. I plan to put them on my heavy weapon carriages in a Praetorian Imperial Guard army I'm working on.

P.S. I'm not sure if this is the proper place for a thread like this, so apologies in advance if it is not.

You could try Ramshackle Games (http://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25_27); their bits, though lacking in elegance, could be put to good use in an Ork Army. Some of their vehicles would actually make some nice bits of scenery or "Counts As" for Chimeras and the like.

They also do a rather nice artillery cannon (http://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=401).

However, I'd suggest buying a sheet of 2mm plasticard and a craft knife and making your own. A piece of 1mm diameter styrene rod can be chopped up into roughly 0.25mm long lengths to make rivets, or else use a rough GW spear shaft to give you rougher rivets.

PS: Having reread your post I see you are looking for Praetorian Wheels :) Please ignore my waffle and buy some stuff from Curious Constructs :D

Actually I can match closer then that - this kit (which also has a number of alternative weapons - Gatling Gun, Autocannon, Rocket Launcher, Tesla Cannon, as well as a seperate Multiple Rocket Launcher kit) will be in the store before the end of the month.

That said, Mysterion I'm dropping you a PM as I've got a limited number of spare wheels!

I thought I recalled seeing something like that before, but I couldn't see it in the store front. This explains it all!

Yeah, it should have been out at the end of the summer, but I ran into some production issues which delayed the release, and everything else I've been working on by consequence, but still hence having various spare bits now.

Came here to post about the Colonel's gun carriages, I use them as Ork Big Gunz, got 2 in the kickstarter, love them!

Thanks for the input fellas. Col. Garvis' ones look pretty on the money and a valid replacement. I do hope I don't get pulled up by one of the more pedantic gamers in my circle about using non GW stuff though as I play in a lot of GW sponsored events and their stores... But those Kickstarter wheels do look a lot like them, and even the Death Korps wheels from Forgeworld, so I should be fine if I used those.

Glad to be of assistance! I reckon you'll be fine with the wheels as well, I've been using the figures and components I've sculpted and sell like my Roughriders a few times a year at the Throne of Skulls tournaments at the Games Workshop HQ in Nottingham, and I know a few other people have been using them there too without any problems.
