Lots of new stuff. Huge update from gaunt painter.

Painter is big resolution wise about 1800 X 1600, will need to scroll down and over to fit field guide into window, wanted to simulate a big inquisitorial desk. Also clocks in around 5 mb so will need broadband or lots of paitience.

Let me know if you find any bugs please. The bad computer kind not the cool eat the imperium kind. If you want to submit your hive fleet for inclusion in the data slate use the contact information located in the data slate to submit.

Looking to collaborate with a writer on an inquisitor retinue or deathwatch "choose your own adventure" for the data slate, let me know if you are interested. I have the data slate programmed for inclusion of a narrative path adventure story, just dont have the time to write it.

Hope you dig it, spent way longer on this than I thought I would.

Thanks again to everyone that submitted artwork or precolor scheme.

Had some layout problems with data slate screen on viewing this on a mac, working on it.

so... cool... mind... overloading...

also, you might want to check the data on some of the minor hive fleets as some of the text is off screen, and there is an apparent lack of a back button there also (at least on a mac)

I would be willing to help, though I have only done very limited writing (I was involved in a BFG project over at Port Maw, but it crumbled), and wouldn't be able to commit wholeheartedly until after the holidays. At the very least I would be willing to act as a consultant of sorts, you may have noticed from some of my posts that I am a dedicated Ordos Xenos fan, and I have a access to a great deal of reference material on them (as much as there really is anyway). If you would like a sample of what I have written, check out these posts on the "Background" sub-forum:

Agreed, most impressive!

I feel a strong need for that Inquisitor's book to contain pages on other races as well... *hint, hint*

Yea I cant figure out why it does that. I use a mac at work and noticed it too. The data slate is written in XML, then imported to the flash file and I think the
or
things dont work right on a mac. Will have to experiment with it some more to get the right look for both mac and pc's.

And yes I am a heretic even in the 41st milennium. HA!

Posted this in a couple other places and got a huge amount of, "looks nice but waste of time, GW lawyers are gonna eat you!!!" I thought since I am not using it for financial gain, I have all the disclaimer information posted, no GW words in address and it is used to get people excited about the new tyranid codex so they go out and buy more bugs that the lawyers would stay away. Any advice on what else I can do to appease the GW legal team would be great.

Big reason I did it was to see if I could, I am a better artist because I tried, so even if no-one sees it I feel it was time well spent.

And just_me I will contact you about this, I am unable to do much until after holidays myself. I have my first solo art exhibition in the middle of December I need to get ready for.

Peace all thanks for kind words Tomas

My daughter and I have been trying to figure out for several weeks what color scheme to do her Nids up in and this site has been awesome in helping us out this morning. Thanks so much for creating this!!

I am glad this helped out.

So I have added quite a bit of new hive fleets to the data slate from member submissions and am in the process of adding the new models into the field guide. With the separation of most rumor from fact I can start drawing the templates for all the new minis.

thanks for looking and may your holidays be filled with joy and happiness, tomas
