To be honest, I've played with my kids a few times. Haven't really ventured out around here in Austin yet. There does appear to be a good scene but as I am still quite new to the whole universe, I've been building up my armies and painting. Kind of goofy I know. Where do you play?

Edit and I just read that LOL. .... Space Marines so far. Got a decent contingent of Ultramarines and working on Space Wolves. Then on to some Dark Angels.

I got started with the Assault on Black Reach set, so I painted all the orks out first to get a practice in. So I could play 300 to 1000 points of orks depending on how they were kitted out. And i have a brand new in the box Battle for Macragge so I got Tyranids, I haven't paid those and then a Dark Vengeance set so I got Chaos Marines too. So I think in the end I would probably play other races just to get a feel for them.
