Having a problem here, and I'm wondering if there are any ideas out there.

I'm using a brand new Grex Tritium.TS
Badger Minitaire Sky Blue, not thinned at all, straight into the cup
PSI is 20
Model is primed using Valejo Surface Primer (white)

I did run several cup fulls of distilled water through the Airbrush because it was new.

My models came out like this; It looks like there was grease or something on the figs, but they were clean...

Any thoughts?

Kind of looks like contamination of the paint. Possibly something in the airbrush that the water didn't remove or possible loosened. Is the paint your using water based? Has it done this again since?

Aye, the paint is water based, it is Badge minitaire. I did my best to clean through the brush. I was told on dakka-dakka that I may have had the pressure to low.

Aye, I figured this one out. Bad Paint pot. I tried higher/lower PSI, thinning a bit and all kinds of things, nothing helped. Then I noticed some paint flecks in the pot, dark blue. I switched to a different paint and it shot on beautifully. I guess I got a bad pot

I'll order from a different source and see what happens

have you tried an agitator?
pop a few ball bearings or plastic beads in the pot and give it good shake, it may fix the issue with that pot....... if not its as you suspect a dud :/

Yes, Cpt, I did use some of my glass beads in there to agitiate it. I also left it on my shaker rig for about 5 minutes. I think it may have gotten overly hot or cold in shipment and seperated the pigments. Not really sure, I am not an expert here.

My wife suggests thinning it alot with alcohol, agitating it alot, then letting the alcohol evaporate out... I may try that, since I have 4 ounces that are basically useless.

Thanks for the ideas!
