The TempleCon (Warwick, RI USA) crew is big on the current wave of crowd sourced projects hitting both the scene, and we feel this movie towards a different type of funding in a lot of the fanbases we support as an event is only going to get bigger.
That's why in 2014 TempleCon is opening it's first dedicated crowd sourced projects area at the convention! You'll be able to check out some of the hottest products coming to Kickstarter and Indiegogo, as well as meet the people behind them! We're also planning on having multiple panel discussions on all of the nuts and bolts of running a crowdsourced project, including many of the pitfalls the come with doing so.
Are you interested in attending the convention to show off your current, pending, or past community-funded game, book, film, or record? Better let us know soon using this form!

TempleCon attracts well over 2000 unique attendees each year, as far away as, with a projected number even higher than that in 2014 due to selling out the entire primary hotel room block in less than a week.* We are currently the largest convention in the entire world for Privateer Press attendance, as well as featuring companies like Battlefront Miniatures, Cool Mini Or Not!, and numerous other companies.** The format of the convention is designed to give an outlet for fans to meet people from the gaming industry in a more intimate low-stress, party atmosphere rather than being just another vendor based expo.*
A strange journey indeed. TempleCon began in 2006 as a local gaming convention dedicated to smashing the mold from which so many events had been cast from. After finding that the modern paradigm of an increasing number of expo-focused events didn't capture what they were looking for in a convention experience, the now-insane creators of TempleCon decided to push forward to create a massive oasis for geeks, nerds, gamers, music lovers, costumers, retro-futurists, and anyone else seeking a one-of-a-kind community of pure distilled awesome to become a part of.
Why is TempleCon different? You could ask a dozen people, and get a dozen answers. What constantly rings true is that TempleCon is a haven that offers you all of the best games, entertainment, sights, sounds, and most importantly, people that you will ever find on the convention circuit. An army of men and women have dedicated themselves to making sure that your experience at TempleCon is nothing short of amazing, and every year we challenge ourselves to top what has come before, just to see the look on your face when you walk through those doors and become part of the party yet again.
Also, as an organization, we have a track record of almost an entire decade of not being complete jerks.
