As an American who just read about this show on Gawker,

I'd like to give the British a chance to explain their entertainment habits...

When you explain programs like "keeping up with the kardashians" then we can talk about how bad British tv can get :D
Channel 4 likes to think its the tv station that pushes boundaries with its shows. I think it's mostly just terrible trash tv. It introduced us to "Big Brother" as an example. Personally I stick to the BBC for most of my viewing.

Keeping up with the kardashians - is reality TV.

How could TV productions that don't require writers ever be bad? :)

This crap goes in waves - I'm waiting for the return of gameshows - then well written dramas - then back to reality TV....

And they've already done essentially the same before on something where they gave couples cameras and questions to answer immediately post coital, just not in a studio...

I'm just surprised C4 didn't broadcast the actual sex itself. Call me old fashioned but I don't know who this shows really aimed at.

lol I'm not sure they do either.

Dogging is probably a bit more honest. Though it means you can't go park in a quite car park at night anymore without people flashing their headlights at you ¬_¬

The concept of the show wasn't terrible, discussing and treating sex rationally without the 'nudge nudge, wink wink' factor that permeates our society but there was never any doubt Channel 4 would screw it up.

I have no defense...

Honey Boo-Boo is a cretinous travesty. I have no issues lashing it's creators to a stone and hurling them into the sea.

It seems like some zombie-like thread of the JonBenét Ramsey case entered American entertainment consciousness and never left...
