Very clean especially the sgt's facial skin tones. What is your method like?

He had a base coat of army painter red spray undercoat followed by bronzed flesh then for the shading I used a small amount of army painter quick shade as I find on flesh and whites it really brings definition to the shaded areas.

I have done a similar effect using them for my sons ultramarines terminators but i used the dip quickshade but i sprayed slightly to close with the antishine varnish and got a weird effect on the shield. What you think?

It's the quick shade dip that I use but instead of dipping the model use an old brush and paint on the quick shade you get way more controll over it and it also stops the quick shade from bubbling on the model you still get the great shading effects without the problems you can get with dipping.

But your painting is good clean lines good use of colour

I used to dip, and MF is right. Brushing it on is definitely superior - just don't use a brush you're fond of!
