If I use Puppet master against a Riptide, can I use it's overcharge/novacharge when using it's shooting attack? I played a game and my opponent refused to let me overcharge.

overcharge should be acceptable, its like telling someone they cant use salvo, or rapidfire...

The riptide chooses the overcharge effect at the beginnning of its turn. If it didn't choose to overcharge a gun or if it failed you cannot make it shoot novacharged. But if it did choose it and it worked, then you can.

He means overcharge so yes as it is just a normal firing profile.
Nova charge no.

sorry, did that from my phone, so did not take into account regular overcharge.
so, overcharge yes, nova charge (or ripple fire) only if that is the effect the nova reactor supplies at that time.

If the nova reactor has already been set to Nova the weapon or ripple fire the second gun then I don't see why not, the invun works in the opponents turn.
But you can't activate a Nova mode (Due to not being a shooting thing), only use what was active already active if it was a gun mode.
