So, I use a different silly picture every day as a "shaddup now please" slide for the powerpoint presentation that guides my classroom. This was today's.

No no no. I am a shameless thief. Technically speaking, fair use laws allow me to steal whatever I want when it's for educational purposes, and it's not like I'm making any money off it or presenting it as my own. No, this belongs to whatever mystery fellow/lady who does this art. Not me.

I'm being a bit silly. It's not really all that legal, because I'm not teaching about Warhammer 40k fanart. That said, I can't imagine anyone cares. If someone did, I guess I wouldn't use that piece of art again.

Depends, but quite possibly. I forget, Corgie, are you American? If so, Circular 21 (http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ21.pdf), provided by the Copyright Office, goes into pretty readable detail about the standards for "educational purposes" (jump to page 6) if you're really curious. You can't, like, put the entirety of The Hobbit in your classroom powerpoints over the course of the school year, one bit at a time, but the standards are pretty reasonable to my eye.
