Lovely stuff! But not what I was hoping for this week.

They are very nice. I can't wait until they get to the good legions.

I thought those were last week?

Edit: No I'm thinking of sons of Horus, nevermind.

They have also just put together themed bundle deals called Chapter Upgrades for a bunch of Space Marine Chapters. they range in price from £54 to £66. Generally they contain a set of Land Raiders doors, 2 sets of Rhino doors, a sheet of Etched Brass, a sheet of Transfers and 1-2 other bits like shoulder pads etc. This is the Iron Hands set for example:

Very very nice/unique looking Terminators there.

Very lovely models! FW continues to impress.
The one gripe I have is the same I had with the Palatine blades: the design of the blades. Both these and the Palatines have a flare tipped blade (as an exaggerated Yalman on a Kilij) that fits aesthetically with Fulgrim's sword. They look like they all belong to the same family of blades. But isn't Fulgrim carrying The Blade of the Laer? Should not his blade have a wildly different design compared to what the rest of the until-so-recently-loyal marines are carrying?

Minor quibble, as the group will look great next to each other, but it still bothers me. >_>

Very beautyful termies here! But I have no realy use to them. I play EC but in chaos not in HH/PH.

Unless the Blade of the Laer reshaped itself to be more appealing to Fulgrim's eye, based on the aesthetic of his legion, in order to entrap him? I could see a Slanneshi artifact being able to pull that off. Alternatively, it's one of those asynchronous things in HH, like how it seems that Horus was deploying the other legions to enable the Heresy before Davin happened (or I could just not be following their accounting of time very well). It's most likely FW went for aesthetics over logic though.

I agree, awesome models but Fulgrims' sword should be different!

all i can say is..... "hello new BA assault termies" :D

simple hammer head swap, last third of polearm removed and storm shield on left hand...... or HH lightning claws attached at the elbows. oh and remove the III off the shin. the faces could be representations of deathmask of sangiuinius.

i already have a tartaros set for my BA so these will do nice :)

I like the shape-shifting Daemon blade concept =)

I mean think about how we get Obliterators, a sword is flick of the wrist for a chaos god

I thought Fulgrim gave the deamon sword to Lucius? I thought he used the sword Ferrus Manus made for him at Istvaan! Or have I got that wrong?

The Palatine Blades were already going to be part of my loyalist EC but I wasn't sure about these termies. They're spectacular but I didn't have an idea as to how to work them in. That was until the Thunder Hammer suggestion above. Looks like I've got a FW order comign up. :)

Say 'hello' to my new Paladins. It always bothered me that Paladins look the same as regular GK termies, now problem solved. :) A few quick bits changes and some green stuff and these guys would make awesome daemonhunters.

As of the novel Fulgrim, Ferrus and Fulgrim swap their weapons back when Fulgrim tries to sway Ferrus to Chaos, so at their encounter on Istvaan, Fulgrim starts with Forgebreaker in hand, and then switches to using the Laer blade to finish the job. I believe he may have given Lucius the Laer blade eventually, but only after it had been drained of its power.

He basically had three blade.

Fireblade (or something the IH one) I think he still has this one currently.

Laer

At some point before angel exterminatus fulgrim gifts the laer blade to lucius.

Anathame

The anathame was taken by erebus and the athames forged, then returned to fabius, god know where that ones gonna end up

the demon in the laer blade is what guides fulgrim, he claims he exorcised it but we all know dorian grey style fulgrim is trapped within his portrait.
so the power of the blade was the demon that took over fulgrim.
the blade was and still is (in 41st mil) an exquisite blade, and one lucius should still be using (going from fluff, he has 3 swords also, the terran one he always had... the magarachnid limb blade he took from murder and fulgrims laer blade....) all of which are supposed to be on display in his 'quarters' so i imagine he still has his armoury wherever he is in the eye.

as for the anathame there are multiple anathames, the original was broken down and distributed within the traitors, fabius crated his rod of torment as seen in crimson fist and angel exterminatus (he figured out the blade did as commanded, so could torture till the verge of death and stop, then heal if desired). erebus has a shard and imagine one of the justarin would have had a bit too.

Ferrus destroyed fireblade with his metal hands when he duelled Fulgrim on Istavaan. The laer blade was what lopped poor old Ferrus' head off.

As for Lucious, he ditched his megarachnid leg when on Murder when he was told off by Eidelon.

nope he kept one, its mentioned in either angel exterminatus or crimson fist im sure its AE, lucius has them in a display by his bunk.

no, Ferrus destroys fireblade during their fight on the ship, then he remakes it and uses it to duel Fulgrim on Istvaan who is using the hammer. Fulgrim then gets the sword.

Isn't it reflection cracked? the same one where the Emp children captains, fight and torture fulgrim.

edit: man forgebreaker really does the rounds too doesn't it. Now perturabo has it.

Yep, this sums me up too. Whilst these models are very pretty, I am more interested in the Morlock and Fire Drake models.

yeah i think it is reflection cracked :) i blasted through my audio books last night but could not find it :(
i got a little confused thinking of the scene with fabius and lucius where all of the geneseed gets purged apart from soulakas which is just damaged.

Ten of them making up the Third Terminator squad... just use them as counts as lightning claws so you can keep the awesome weapon they've got.

That's the great thing about Counts-As. When the Codex entry only has two options (TH/SS or Lightning Claw) all you have to do is add a shield and you've got the TH/SS or leave them as is and have Lightning Claws.

For Chaos Marines wanting to play Emperor's Children it gets trickier, because the Terminators can take Power Lances, which isn't necessarily a great load-out for them.
