My latest hobby project is an all plastic Big Mek Stomp conversion. Nearly all of the parts except for six pieces come from the Stompa kit itself or other Ork kits. I have a full article about this on Spikey Bits blog at this link (http://blog.spikeybits.com/2013/08/big-mek-stompa-all-plastic-conversion.html). Here are a few work in progress photos below, there are more in the article at the link provided. Big Mek Stompas are cooler than ever in the new 40K Apocalypse and I'm really looking forward to finishing the painting on this model soon.

The Big Mek Stompa is now fully assembled and painted. Here's my article on finishing the model at this link (http://blog.spikeybits.com/2013/08/ork-big-mek-stompa-krump-da-umies.html). I've included one photo below, there are more at the aforementioned link.

I really like the Battlewagon plow as a jaw. It's a perfect fit and looks far more robust than the stock head, gives it a very "Orky" look. In the unlikely event I ever build a Stompa I'm definitely stealing the idea.

Very nice! And +1 on the battlewagon-jaw, it looks like it's supposed to be there. Stock Stompas look weird without it.

Thanks for the comments above. I also thought it needed something different on the face when I was building it, something big to set its face apart from my regular Stompa. The Battlewagon Ram worked out nicely, especially with the huge "Eye of Mork".

I hope people checked out my how-to article, there are a lot more photos from different angles there. Here's one more as a teaser:
