Mr. Mystery already has a thread up for the newly released Volkite Culverin and Heavy Flamer 5 packs, but he missed that this beauty has been released too:

Legion Sicaran Battle Tank £72
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/DefaultFW/xlarge/sicaran11.jpg

One of the most advanced armoured units in the arsenal of the Great Crusade, the Sicaran Battle Tank was the exclusive province of the Space Marine Legions. The Sicaran utilises component technologies from various STC patterns to create a high-speed ‘destroyer’ tank to complement the more commonplace Predator and Land Raider designs.

The primary armament of the main Sicaran variant is the sophisticated Herakles pattern accelerator autocannon, a superior rapid-firing and highly accurate weapon. It fires shells at far higher velocities than a standard autocannon, enabling it to successfully track and engage swift moving targets and pinpoint vulnerabilities in enemy armour with lethal precision.

The Sicaran Battle Tank, designed by Phil Stutcinskas, is a complete resin kit. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday 30th August. The rules for this model can be found in a forthcoming Horus Heresy Book.

I think its awesome and I want one!

Loved it at the open day, want it more now

Note that a month ago we got pdf of the rules for the Whirlwind and Land Speeder. Now its "rules in a forthcoming book".

Massacre is coming soon...early copies at Gamesday, if not sooner.

It's quite cute.

Still not entirely convinced, but I don't exactly hate it....

Though looking at it....shouldn't be too hard to convert into a Predator...

The pictures don't quite convey its size (although the price does :P).

Its similar to a landraider, if not a bit bigger

Edit - more pics on the website

The second...is Nightlords scheme I'd say at a guess. Its gorgeous

Yeah it's growing on me. Had quite forgotten the size of the thing!

Tempted. Sorely tempted.

Wow. That thing is sexy.

Also: "rules available in a forthcoming Horus Heresy book" - that's going to be out real soon, then.

enabling it to successfully track and engage swift moving targets

sounds like it'll deny Jink saves then by my guess... can't imagine it being AA with that kind of weapon mounting... looks fantastic to me! argh too many neat toys and too few monies...
wonder whether that thing is going to be available to 40k Marines as per the "Relic" avenue... I mean even Glaives and Cerberi are, alongside Deimos Preds and Spartans, so why not...

I would have loved to see something like this in the new SM book over the Centurions or the new anti-air Rhinos. I think this is a pretty awesome piece!

Not normally a tank kinda guy myself, but at least this time they've designed something new rather than making another landraider/rhino variant. It's a pretty solid design surprisingly...if I collected heresy era marines id prolly get one. The Blue one especially looks rather nice :)

That would look great with furs and Space Wolves colors.

Not excactly ugly, but far from good looking. It not fish, not flesh. A ******* between pred and raider. IW color doesn´t help, sadly....

Blue with some green fade. I'd guess Alpha Legion before Night Lords.

Except they're being painted for the next Heresy Book

Which Features Night Lords. Not Alpha Legion

I like the look of this one, though I dislike the Glaive and Fellblade (which look to be the same chasis, aside from the extra front coverings over the tracks).

Not quite; the Sicaran and the Glaive/Blade use the same design aesthetic, but the Sicaran has a Land Raider's footprint and the Glaive has a Baneblade's footprint.
