Velard Eldar Jetbikes - This is why GW didn't get my money

Just got my small order in from Velard minis out of Russia. These bikes are so much better than the choppy style GW bikes. Even the shuriken cats on them look better.

Ordered another set of them after seeing the quality. More brittle resin than FW but not as brittle as Chinacast.

No arms on this guy yet as I'm converting them into shining spears (which GW was kind enough to offer as a finecast bitz kit)

They do look nice. Not sure on the rider pose though. I get its like a modern sports bike rider, but looks to flat on the console for me

Thats because the arms aren't on. He sticks up a bit more with the arms "pushing" up on the handlebars.

Would the bikes fit a GW rider? Cos I like the bike, but not the rider.

Im not a huge fan of GW riders either, which is why mine are all converted with guardian heads and torsos

all i could find is an ebay..... £7-8 per bike.

just look for a certain married 'female' of the company..... if ya know what i mean.

Nice, cheers. Works out about the same as GW bikes then, I guess.

I would be interested to know too if the torsos and heads could be swapped with GW guardians.

I don't mind the GW jetbikes... but that is a fine model. Good get!

All you need to convert the riders is to cut the legs off and put on the torso of your choice. Even better if you use the guardian one because the head is pose-able. I'm finding the shining spears are looking down a bit more than I'd like and I have to re-evaluate how I'm going to model them.

It means - if you drop it from head high it shatters like glass. (Not this model, but brittle/hard/inflexible resin does)
