he looks cool, did you use dark tone or medium tone for the dip/wash?

id be tempted to add a nuln oil wash just to separate the areas a little more, or even better since you use the anti shine varnish.... you can use oil paints and thinners to make an oil wash, which you just pull the excess away with a cotton bud. (try it on a scrap mini/underside of a base first just to make sure the thinners is ok with the varnish.

I used the light tone wash on the model and ill see what effect the anti shine has once the quick shade is dry I've no oil paint so I can't try the oil wash unfortunately.

wow the light is actually darker than i thought :) I've not used mine yet... only strong/dark and mid.

i like the step by step also, gives people who have not seen army painter in action see what it can do :)

are you just doing up the black reach guys or do you have a secret stash of a full company of blood angels under your bed? (only slightly joking, its not that uncommon on here)

Well.... Currently I'm doing the black reach guys as I got the whole set for a steal but I do have a secret stash of Blood Angels as well approximate 3000 points of them. When I get round to it ill post pic's of my whole army.

Somebody's got to stand up for old-school flock...

But I recommend some of those little "tuft-plant" thingys everyone uses these days. They are so pretty.

I've been basing them by painting the base grey then adding modeling gravel to the bases kinda like a rubble strewn battle field effect
