I have to say that GW's art department has been knocking it out of the park since 6th edition.


I can't name a single codex cover that has not been better than every single previous editions' cover since the release of the first hardback codex.

Seems BL is following in that direction.

Very impressive. I would tend to imagine an Archon being a little more preoccupied with appearance though than to allow such hideous scarring on the head, or those crow's feet. I suppose every Archon is different, that's half the fun of the political intrigue and plotting that's been going on so far in the books.

True enough, I recall a blurb in the codex to the effect of "it became fashionable for a while to have rather grotesque physical alterations performed by the Haemonculi, and after a while everyone realized it was stupid and had the work all undone."
