After getting a really good deal on my space wolves (yes i sold my army once again) i decided to go for a real challenge this time and start an army which i never ever painted..

so that only left them nids to be honest. Went to the store and bought 3 boxes of thermagants (you know the cheap ones ) and a really good price and started painting them up.

This is the first one....

Im adding a really light drybrush of grey to the black parts of the model. Gives it a little more depth. As for paint skills its just practice makes perfect also thinning paints and good brushes help alot :P

Thanks!!! was planning on doing the chitin plates in red, i really love red!. But since im out of my comfort zone i decided to also use colors i normally dont use (except for the dark grey which is a left over from my space wolves.

So clean. I'm glad you passed up on red, these are going to look so very menacing en masse. Maybe a dash of some genestealer purple in your really light grey drybrush to make the yellow-leaning orange 'tan' pop even more... or is that going too far? Stoked regardless!
