What are your favourite board game genres?

I know zombie games and sci-fi games are adored by my mates but I want to find out what you guys like?

I like anything that's adventurous (Really into Mice and Mystics, lately). When it's resource management/etc. like Catan, I want to flip the table and go do something else. Too boring for me, basically.


One of my favorite board games is Tales of the Arabian Nights. It's the only game I know of where Sinbad the sailor can get turned into a woman and be unable to win the game until he changes back.
