Here's a rumored price list for new August GW releases via Pins Of War. Notice the 40K Mini-rulebook Gamer's Edition on the list. Is it the same book that comes in Dark Vengeance with some accompanying swag or gaming accessories? I guess we'll know in a few days if it goes up for pre-order when the Lizardmen stuff also goes up for pre-order.

In any case, this is good news for people who need a small rulebook, but who don't wish to buy Dark Vengeance.

Gamer's Editions are usually a rule book packaged with other gaming swag like dice or templates and maybe a special satchel of some sort. In the past some of the items have usually been limited edition.

Maybe it's hardback? Or in some sort of pouch that has room for pencils and dice.

(meanwhile-Bilbo Baggins with Sting makes me think that's the artists on the song for the next Hobbit movie)

I suspect and hope its the DV book with a pouch, 6 dice + scatter and a couple faction pins. I'd love to see unique dice or something special in it though.

I thought most people didn't want the singing in the Tolken movies...

Price seems right for a spell deck for Lizard Men.

Is this the rumoured mini rule book that GW would "never sell". I am pleased about it, to be honest I brought DV jsut for it.

Though I really hope "Finecast Clam" isn't the title of the song. It sounds ... unpleasant.

Ditto. Didn't cost that much after selling off the rest of DV though.

Depending on what's in it and £ cost, I might get this one, purely because I can sell the DV one to a friend anyway.

Looking at eBay there was quite a healthy trade to be had buying DV splitting the contents and selling seperately. The mini-rule book you some times see going for half the price of the box.

I have both the small and the large Ruleboooks.
I find the small Rulebook nigh on impossible to read.

I also have both.

And I find the large rulebook nigh on impossible to use during a battle :-)

I have both, I have not seen the mini booksince I loaned it to my brother-in-law early January...

I wonder if this is a prelude to a possible release of a mini WHFB rule book.

Ditto, the fact that 2/3rd of it are irrelevant to the current game and it's hardback don't help either.

Some middle ground might help though; a rules-only softback in a slightly larger scale (somewhere between the BRB and the mini book).

Are those prices US/CAN?

What is in the Carnosaur box for $85 USD?

I pay that much for a hard back book - same size as a codex - but with just the rules in. Easier to carry than the full sized rule book, AND easier to read than the small DV book.

The rumor is that you can build three or four variants of Carnosaur type monster. Plus it's huge.

Has anyone seen more info on this? I'd have expected it to go on preorder today.
