I've got an apocalypse game coming up in November and i'd love to have a superheavy as my centerpiece. The only problem is that i collect dark angels and crimson fists. I understand that it would completely go against the fluff to have these broken up legions having too powerful a warmachine but getting the thunderhawk is just out of my price range. Also a phalanx of librarians or 3 predators doesn't seem as fun as a big-f***-off-sized-model.

The Legion Glaive, http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/LEGION_GLAIVE.html , looks absolutely fantastic and considering the amount of resin you get isn't **too** awfully priced. Is there any way to get this to work in an apoc game? Or given that it's from a different game system is it completely incongruous?

I'm secretly hoping one of the warzone supplements will have rules for SM super heavies but i'm guessing all it will have are squadrons of whatever new SM toys we get in September.

Most apocolypse super heavy vehicles are Forge World.
I don't see why some chapters of the Adeptus Astartes wouldn't have ancient relics dating back to the Heresy era. I could easily see Dark Angels posessing may e a single Glaive super heavy tank, lovingly preserved by a dedicated cabal of Techmarines.

I'd let you use it. It's Apocalypse, it's when all the big guns - even the ancient ones - can come out to play! Just make sure you bring along the rules to the game and you should be laughing.

Yeah.

Just tell your opponent using it.

The Legion Glaive is an exceptionally cool tank. Designed for Apocalypse level games. It's also pretty far from game breaking!

He's going to be using a skull dozer and stompa for his armies so i figured i needed something equally as epic.

By non game breaking are you suggesting it's a bit poor performing?

Quite the opposite. It's a tasty bit of kit.

However, it's not especially flexible, and doesn't offer quite as much raw dakka as many Super heavies.

It's excellent at taking out droves of heavy infantry and medium vehicles though! The lack of strength D also means Superheavies don't have to take it out immediately.

Seriously dude, go for it!
