I know in 5th you had the option to only target models in or out of cover when shooting. Is that still possible?
I'm thinking no. Pg 15 (lrb) says you allocate wounds to the closest model first, and pg 16 (lrb) says if no model in the firing unit can see a model in the unit, no wounds can be allocated to it.
This indicates to me that if you can see the model and it's the closest one, whether it's in cover or not is irrelevant regarding targeting. Am I missing something in the 6th rules that lets you purposefully disregard models in cover when shooting a unit?
