Ok, so you'd have to be blind to not see that Kicksterters/Crowwdsourcing is turning our hobby on its head and it's speeding up by the month.

And I'm unsatisfied by it's current location on the forum - Kinda buried halfway down.

But where should it go?

Take a look at the organizational layout of the Lounge and give me your ideas.

The two big goals of forum layout is to logically group similar topics, and to order things by order of importance.

Go!!!

Mr BR - personal thoughts are that its fine where it is. If you so desire and you really rate Kickstarters it could be a single subject lounge - and by the importance you seem to afford it, it would go under the WM/IK lounge, above FoW.

I personally must be blind, in that I don't see our hobby being turned on its head - what is being turned on its head is how independents can get in the game easier. But the indy games are a risk - because you never know how big the player pool of a new game will be.

What is key for most I suspect, is getting cheaper alternative minis for the big games - the kickstarters can keep their fanfic fluff and system rules with interest, gamers just want greatcoat infantry or german heads what ever, instead of boring Cadians.

If we are ordering by importance then surely the Oubliette should be at the top?

Followed by the Warhammer forum, not this pew pew nonsense.

Don't worry, Mystery, someone was going to make that joke eventually... not that, uh, I was planning on doing that... *cough*

Personally I think there are too many sub-forums and that everything from Warmachine down to Historicals could be safely plonked in together with Sci-fi & Fantasty together (and that GW specialist games could be one section). And condense a bunch of the painting sections while you're at it too *shakes fist*

As a slight aside, it is rather frustrating to see all and sundry being discussed in the 40k general or 40k news and rumours just because they are the most populated.

Well the obvious most visible spot would be the top of the list, but on the otherhand then it will become filled with the people that currently inhabit 40k general who don't know how to scroll. Alternatively put it just above the Oubliette, or next to corporate.
