Wolf Guard as troops

Hi,

Logan makes wolf guard count as troops, when i attach a wolf guard to, as say, Skyclaw unit, does it count as troops?

Seeing as Wolf Guard don't make squads they're attached to Elites when Logan isn't in chosen, I doubt they make squads troops when he is.

I would have to say no to the unit counting as troops.

But I think you could use it as a scoring unit as it would have a troops model attached to it.

Of course, I meant if the y count as scoring unit.

It is a Skyclaw unit with an attached Wolf Guard. It is still a Fast Attack choice.

You cannot attach a wolf guard to a skyclaw unit. Skyclaws are not listed under units that wolf guard can be put with. Which is sad because I love jump troops and they need the help.

@bryce963 Well, wolf guard can't join Skyclaw, sorry, let's say Scouts.

@crazyredpretorian The problem is the wolf guard counts as an IC that counts as Troops, and if joins non-troops units they count as scoring or not, not making killing machines.

The wolf guard doesnt count as an IC, he joins that unit, and before deployment. Personaly I dont see that this makes him scoring if he is attached to a unit such as scouts, but its another bit of fogginess surrounding attaching wolf guard :/

If Logan is used he can make Wolf Guard scoring. However, this doesn't carry over to the squad a wolf guard is attached to. Nothing says that RAW. Now, I think RAI, the rule is made to allow the Logan Wing or similar build not to allow individual WG to score. That's my opinion on it.

I would say that the wolf guard would count as scoring (if he was in 3" of an objective he could claim it for example) but the rest of the squad isn't
