GW.s quality control extends more to their box art.

After the Fire Warrior box translating the new one is the Wraithguard, this is a picture of the Wraithguard on the right

Anyone notice that his hand isn't connected to his arm?

Good spot.

The question is, is this a genuine unglue arm (which it looks like) or one of their horredous photoshop distasters (ala the Dark Eldars)

Great spot and great pun :D

It is unbelievable to me that this sort of thing can happen.

have you not noticed the blu tac on the riptide, tau suits, wraithguard and wraithknight? the saim-hann ones are the most obvious as its light blue on red :) just check out this months WD and look at the WK and even the iyanden WL with scatter lasers.

i dont get 'how' they can get past editing..... photoshop can fix these slip ups INSTANTLY, or at least show you peaks in the colour range to magic brush/heal tool out

not meaning to come off as aggressive BTW :)

The 'how' it got past editing is exactly what I meant by unbelievable. Although I do think it is unbelievable that this could get to this stage. I'm in the graphics game and lack of attention to detail enrages me. Yes...enrages!

I didn't notice until people pointed it out :)

Curious. It's been fixed on the box I've got in front of me, but it looks like he's got a seriously long arm.

Perhaps the image is from a prototype and it has been subsequently resolved.

On other sites (rather than the GW one) the box image shows the far right to be not disjointed

Oooh!

So DL is planning a wraith heavy army?

Well that is my thought out the window.

Just had to :) as soon as I knew Mat Ward was writing the Iyanden book, I was in.

Let's be perfectly honest we've all see the wraithknights and thought that it looked cool, saw how the wraithmodels look together and thought "Yes, you will be mine!"

The box art on GW's Website shows the arm not connected either, scroll through the unit's pictures and at the end is the box art with the far right one's hand disconnected.

And I'm adding Wraithguard as Puppets of the Laughing God to my harlequins as a troops switch from Exodite rangers. It helps shake things up, play-style wise. ;)

I spotted it too, I think GW should stop blu-tacing everything. If you look at the newly released preators from FW, you can see they are stuck to the base with blu-tac.

I can't believe that the 'Eavy Metal team wouldn't spot such a base mistake while painting, which says to me that they painted them with the arms off in order to save money and time as they'd need half the models to take pictures of both wraithcannon and D-scythes... and then the photoshoot folks bungled it. D'oh!
