View Full Version : Want to get BOLs to make a new section general Miniature painting projects - How?

Basically, there are a lot of different painting and conversion project sections, all based on specific wargemes. What about all those people who have games that do not fit into those niche criteria? I am talking about Dystopian Wars, Malifaux, Doctor Who, Judge Dredd role playing, Classic Battletech, Drop Zone Commander, etc. I am working on a project at the moment building 20 Clan Jade Falcon Mechs, 16 Draconis Combine Mechs, and 16 Northwind Highlander mechs for a 2 day Tournament I am running in October, and want to show case the miniatures I have painted.

Some example of the miniatures are below.

I know this may be the wrong spot to pose the question, but I could not find a General wargaming questions section to ask it.

The question still stands, how does one go about getting a new thread section included into the painting projects group of threads?

I have some Dystpian Wars stuff with dozens more models that I want to paint, and I want to start on some Drop Zone Commander units to show. I also have heaps of my own Battletech that I want to do (I have about 1000 miniatures for Battletech to paint yet).

Do you think there would be enough support to get one put up for the rest of the wargaming community to put their "not so popular wargames" painting projects up for show?

Send a private message to The Girl or BigRed would probably be simplest.:)

No that's not how it works.

You have to find a sacred grove, whereupon at midnight during a fullmoon you perform a naked ritualistic sacrifice of a laptop to the gods of internet forums.

Wouldn't it be the Mouse that goes with my PC. The mouse blood would be more suitable. The electronic components would be a lot harder sacrifice though.

I will send Big Red a PM.

A general Inguiries secton would also be a good idea, as there are so many non standard gaming subjects that are neither sci-fi, fantasy, WWII, or anything particular to any gaming company or genre.

Sacrifice it on the alter of flames.
Plus a mouse is a tiny sacrifice, how much blood can you get in something that small?

A surprising amount actually as my Dad found out many years back after spending hours trying to humanely capture a mouse that had gotten into our house. He finally lost patience, grabbed a sledgehammer and took a swing at it and hit it. And then spent the next few hours cleaning up the mess due to my Mum being rather miffed at the state of the dining room afterwards!

That's both horrid and hilarious at the same time :confused:

Yup. It's been here (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/forumdisplay.php?141-General-Painting-Miniatures-amp-Terrain-Projects) for a bit, btw... it was just labeled poorly. All fixed now.

Should have held out for the ritualistic sacrifice.

From one girl to another Thanks.

I just happen to be a bit Slaaneshi fixated when it comes to my 40K and Fed Suns fixated when it comes to Battletech.

Where have my assault 2/ Heavy 3 Sonic Blasters gone? Damn it Phil Kelly. I just really miss them, they made shooting then assaulting the enemy so easy, and you could sit and hold objectives effectively. I would have paid a bit more to have the old stats, even with the Pinning rule.

I miss battletech sooooo much. Was the first real fluff I ever read for a game. I am old enough to have to have waited for each new book. :D That was my first miniatures game.. when we played with the cardboard cutouts that were supplied with the game.

Grey Death! FTW!
